Yari Eliminated on Japanese Game ShowI Survived a Japanese Game Show, 202
The Green Tigers continue to lead the pack; The week's losing team cleans golf balls, golf clubs and golf mirrors; Red Robots plot for Yari's departure
On the June 24, 2009 episode of I Survived a Japanese Game Show, 202, the teams competed in giant pants and in a tutu. The winners of the second game were taken to a baseball game at the famous Tokyo Dome. Green Tigers Party AgainThe demeanor of the Red Robots and Green Tigers was very different before the competition. The Green Tigers were jumping around singing, while the Red Robots sulked in their lack of wins. The first game was Party in My Pants. The entire team had to get in a giant pair of pants and collect balls that were being launched at them. The Green Tigers had an extra player so Cathy agreed to sit out. The Red Robots played first. The balls were out of control, and you could tell the players were having a difficult time seeing balls to pick up. Drew tried to catch some with his hands, and Yari decided to stick to what was already on the ground. There was a lot of yelling during the Green Tigers try. They communicated with each other a lot more, and most of them concentrated on grabbing the balls on the floor. The Green Tigers won by two balls, which devastated the Red Robots. Red Robots Want Yari OutThe second game was Somebody Put Clothes on Bob. The object was to find five pieces of clothing hidden in flour to put on a manaquen. The Green Tigers’ advantage was a five second head start. The Green Tigers found their first item first because of the head start, but it still took a long time for the Red Robots to find their first item. The flour caused a lot of problems for people, probably because of the flour cloud. The conveyer belt the teams had to travel on only gave Dan problems. The game came down to the wire, but the Green Tigers remained victorious. They were rewarded with a VIP trip to see the Yomiuri Giants. The Red Robots had to collect balls at a driving range. Justin believed Yari was the source of their losses. He felt she was holding the team back so she needed to go. Yari knew everyone was set on her going in to elimination so she decided to go with it. Dan didn’t fight the decision to send himself in either. Dan and Yari Lotion UpThe elimination game was Lotion, Lotion, What’s the Commotion? The game was an obstacle course. The first leg had the contestants covered in lotion, carrying an egg and climbing over hills. Then, the contestants had to swim through a lotion pool and move over slimy Sumo wrestlers. The contestants could barely stand during this challenge. They were so slippery, and Yari ended up hurling herself over many of the hills. Dan made it over the hills well, but the eggs really slowed Dan down. Dan finished the obstacle course in nearly half the time Yari finished it, and Yari was sent back to America.
