Stasha Leaves the Show, Taylor's Gold Digger Ways Shine Through

The previous episode of Tough Love featured plenty of drama.
Jody's date with Shane is disastrous. Befuddled by Jody's perfection as a match and he simply cannot understand why she's single. So he begins grilling her in a misguided attempt to find the flaw that he's certain must exist. The result? Jody begins crying during dinner and the tears continue for the entire car ride home, culminating in a near-breakdown.
Arian is also a source of drama with her overly sexual behavior during the date. Arian's behavior is an over-the-top defense mechanism intended to keep men at arm's length, according to Tough Love host and matchmaker Steve Ward. But when Steve tries to confront Arian about the behavior that's stemming from her deeply-seeded psychological issues, Arian loses her cool and begins trashing the Tough Love set, tossing over camera tripods and screaming about her desire to leave the Tough Love cast.
The fourth episode of Tough Love ends with a message of "To be continued..."
What Happens on Tough Love Episode Five?
The fifth episode begins with an announcement from Stasha: she's in love with a man whom she met just one week before her arrival on the show. Although matchmaker Steve Ward expresses skepticism about Stasha's claims of "love at first sight," he's accepting of her decision to leave the show. In fact, Steve summons Stasha's new love to the Tough Love house, where he admits that he too is well on his way to a loving relationship with Stasha.
So with Steve's blessing, Stasha leaves the Tough Love cast to pursue her new relationship.
Following Stasha's departure from the Tough Love house, the focus returns to Arian who ultimately decided to remain in the house for the night and by morning, calmed from her fit of rage and frustration, Arian meets with Steve and his matchmaker mother for a reminder that the sometimes-harsh words are intended to help, not hurt.
Jody also recovers from the harsh words said by her match, Shane, whom she's been dating since she arrived on the VH1 reality show. Shane did apologize for his behavior and Jody decides to accept the apology — a fact that matchmaker Steve Ward finds encouraging since Jody's willingness to forgive is a sign of a strong connection.
The Tough Love Cast Meets Their Dates
Moving forward, the Tough Love cast gets a few lessons in judgment of value. One exercise in particular demonstrates that rarely are judgments of value accurate simply because one lacks all the details.
That in mind, the cast of Tough Love is brought to a mansion for an afternoon with a new set of potential matches. The scenario includes a set-up of sorts to see if Taylor is truly overcoming her gold digger ways. Matchmaker Steve Ward hires an actor to play the wealthy owner of the mansion, and sure enough, Taylor ditches her date — a handsome professional MMA fighter — and goes straight for the man whom she believes is the rich owner of the mansion.
Taylor's constant focus on money, Steve says, is a primary reason she's been unsuccessful in love. In this case, Taylor ditched a perfectly good potential match for an older man with whom she had nothing in common — all because of money.
Meanwhile, Abiola strikes out on her date, who fails to reciprocate her interest. Her date Eric even declines an invitation to come by the Tough Love house later in the evening.
Arian also does poorly with her date, because again, her behavior is way too over-the-top, leaving virtually nothing to the imagination. But fortunately for Arian, her date is wise to Arian's strategy to keep him at arm's length and Steve arranges for a second date between the two, giving Arian a chance to connect with him on a deeper level.
