VH1's Megan Wants a Millionaire - Episode 2The Cast Celebrates Valentine's Day; Al, Mike and Shawn Win a Date
The Megan Wants a Millionaire cast competes for Megan Hauserman's affections with early Valentine's Day gifts. Feeling rejected, Garth wants to leave the show.
The previous episode of Megan Wants a Millionaire marked the reality show's premiere on VH1. Megan Hauserman — a former cast member of Rock of Love 2, Beauty and the Geek, I Love Money, and Charm School 2 — met the 20 men of the Megan Wants a Millionaire cast and following the traditional mixer, three were sent home. During the first episode elimination, Megan handed out credit cards to the cast members; the men with "good credit" remained on the reality show cast, while the Megan Wants a Millionaire cast members with "declined" credit cards were sent home. Megan eliminated Audi, rough-around-the-edges barber and business owner worth $1,100,000; James, a young soon-to-be millionaire who's expecting to inherit $4,000,000; and Donald, an older, slightly-hokey movie producer worth $2,000,000. What Happened on Episode Two of Megan Wants a Millionaire? In the second episode of Megan Wants a Millionaire, the cast celebrates Valentine's Day early, and reality show star Megan Hauserman is showered with gifts from the millionaire bachelors. The millionaire bachelor cast gets 90 minutes to complete their "test for gift giving skills." Some of the Megan Wants a Millionaire cast members spend thousands on gifts, while others get creative and use their skills and talents to create gifts for Megan. Al — who nearly got eliminated in episode one when he played a "dog jaw" trick on Megan, causing her to spill her wine down the front of her dress — redeems himself in a big way by giving Megan an $8,000 gift card to a spa that specializes in Botox and plastic surgery. Big Mike delivers another great present for Megan in this gift-giving challenge. Mike calls a personal friend, designer Lloyd Klein, who delivers two black designer dresses for Megan. The Punisher, a former male stripper, uses his skills to perform a sexy dance for Megan, who is very impressed by his moves. Next up is Shawn, who takes a chance by serving sushi to Megan - on his boxer brief-clad body. It's a gift that may have doomed Shawn, but instead, Megan appreciated Shawn's willingness to "embarrass himself for Megan's enjoyment." Alex doesn't impress Megan with his gift of "Granny"-style lingerie. Joe's gift is equally unimpressive: a white bikini with "Trophy Wife $" written across the rear of the bikini bottoms – in crayon. Perhaps the worst gift was from Garth, who does a cheesy lip-syncing routine to a track he wrote and produced titled "Sex Mode." Megan is not impressed by Garth's song, and it's the catalyst to Garth's near-departure. Upset that Megan doesn't like his song – a song he apparently spent two years working on – Garth makes arrangements to leave the Megan Wants a Millionaire mansion in Hollywood. But Megan is wise to Garth's attempt at manipulation and she uses her well-developed manipulation skills to convince Garth to stay. Megan's Ski Date With Big Mike, Al and ShawnPrior to their date with Megan, the challenge winners get an opportunity to purchase gifts for Megan with the help of concierge/narrator, Niles. Big Mike opts to purchase gifts on his own, while Shawn and Al opt to purchase all three gift options (a designer ski jacket, a dozen long stem roses and a Tiffany & Co. snowflake bracelet and necklace) together, splitting the cost. Al pays for Megan's gifts with cash, while Shawn pays with his credit card – which is declined. Humiliated, Shawn blames his banker for the fact that his credit card was declined, and an amiable Al offers to pay for Shawn's portion. But this move ultimately leads to problems between Shawn and Al. When Shawn completely ignores him during the date, Al decides to take the credit for the gifts and he reveals to Megan that Shawn's credit card was declined – very problematic for a supposed millionaire. Who Gets Eliminated and Sent Home on Megan Wants a Millionaire? Al clearly won over Megan's heart with his expensive plastic surgery gift certificate and he clearly connected with Megan on their date. Likewise, Big Mike also maintains "good credit" with Megan during the second episode elimination on Megan Wants a Millionaire. Joe, Shawn and Garth are the three men who are up for elimination. "I made up my mind to get rid of Garth the second he handed me his credit card last night. He's not going to leave on his terms. This is my house and he's going to leave on my terms," Megan explains of her decision to eliminate Garth. Joe is the next cast member to present his credit card to Megan, who says she's compelled to eliminate him due to the fact that they've entered the friendship zone. But surprisingly, Joe convinces Megan that he can step up his game. He then proceeds to lay "the most forced, awkward and disgusting kiss" on Megan. Joe escapes elimination. Shawn is the last man to present his credit card to Megan. Megan eliminates Shawn and sends him home not because his credit card was declined, but because he failed to stand up to Al when he took credit for the gifts that they had agreed to purchase and present together. "I need a man who's more aggressive...In the end, Shawn may be just too much of a pushover. I need a guy with a valid credit card and a backbone." The third episode of Megan Wants a Millionaire was the last to air before the show was taken off the air indefinitely. This decision was made following the announcement that Megan Wants a Millionaire's Ryan Jenkins was charged in connection with the mutilation and murder of his ex-wife. The murdered body of swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore was found inside a suitcase that was discovered in a dumpster near Los Angeles, California on Saturday, August 15, 2009.
