Elimination Show Recap Season 2 Top Eight Danced to Tyce Diorio

The Top 8 results show kicked off with a 1950s styled group dance choreographed by Tyce Diorio. Who was eliminated? Judge favourites found themselves in the bottom.

This week the competition heated up with two hours of action-packed dance. The performances include group routines by the top four guys and top four girls, as well as two pair dances and a solo from each dancer.

Emanuel entered the week with a sprained ankle in addition to his already broken fingers. He danced well given the circumstances, but didn't shine in comparison to the other dancers. A krump routine by Vincent and Tara-Jean looked amateurish at best, while Cody and Kim danced a smooth waltz that Mia Michaels called awful. But, in the end it's Canada's decision as to who will be eliminated.

The top eight dancers started off tonight's results show with a Tyce Diorio choreographed theater routine. With a 1950s styling, the number equally showcased all of the dancers as they danced around a motorcycle. While it moved along quickly, it was not all that grand in comparison to other numbers the stage has seen. A bit of a yawn.

Leah called forward the top four girls and announced Jayme Rae and Tara-Jean safe, while Kim and Melanie were in the bottom two. The top four guys stepped forward and Leah announced Vincent and Emanuel safe, while Cody and Everett were in the bottom two. Everett is the shocker of the night as he danced the best of the men on performance night.

From this week's votes, Canada chose to place the following two women up for possible elimination.

Bottom Two Women:

Melanie
Kim

First up to dance was Kim who brought a hip-grinding hip-hop routine with krump elements. Not her most powerful dance, but it was OK. Melanie delivered a soft and technically stunning contemporary piece. Both girls seemed happy with their performances and bravely faced possible elimination.

SYTYCD Top 8 Show Results - SYTYCD Canada Bottom 2 Men

From this week's votes, Canada chose to place the following two men up for possible elimination.

Bottom Two Men:

Everett
Cody

First up to dance was Cody with his standard smooth hip-hop, why does it always look the same? Everett danced a cheerful and energetic tap routine. Between the two, Everett provided more entertainment and displayed greater technical skill.
