Elimination Show Recap Season 2 Top Six Dance a Disco Routine

The Top 6 performed a lackluster disco routine choreographed by Tre Armstrong. Then, each dancer performed a solo before Leah revealed who was eliminated.

This week the competition heated up with two hours of action-packed dance. The performances include group routines by the top three guys and top three girls, as well as two pair dances and a solo from each dancer.

Again this week, Emanuel danced well given his injuries but didn't shine in comparison to the other dancers. Each of the three women, especially Melanie and Tara-Jean, received plenty of praise from the judges. Everett and Vincent also did well but the top three girls are pressuring them to do better.

Top 6 Group Disco Performance & Solo Dances

The top 6 open the show with an energetic disco routine choreographed by Tre Armstrong. With colourful costumes, the dancers moved to a pumping disco beat. Compared to other disco routines on this show, this one wasn't very memorable.

Leah started the evening by having each of the dancers perform a solo routine. Of the three girls, Melanie and Tara-Jean offered up the most entertaining contemporary routines while Jayme Rae didn't show much energy or personality. Of the three guys, Everett and Emanuel gave the most entertaining routines while Vincent just did the same thing he does every week.

With nearly 2 million votes last night, Leah started the elimination process by bringing the top three girls to the stage to give the results. Tonight, instead of announcing the bottom two dancers, Leah would only announce which girl and which guy would be eliminated from the competition.

She reviewed each dancer's performance then read the voting results and informed Melanie that she was not in the final top four. Although the judges raved about her dancing, Melanie was eliminated.

Leah brought the top three guys to the stage next and reviewed each of their performances from the night before, including highlights of the judges comments. She announced that both Vincent and Everett would be in the top four, and while crying Leah informed Emanuel that he was eliminated from further competition.

The top four dances will return next week to participate in the finale to see who will be Canada's next favourite dancer.
