Getty Museum Challenge & Bryant Park Final Three Announced in S06E12

Designers used the Getty Museum as inspiration to create a look of their choice. The final challenge finds two designers eliminated and the top three designers announced.

Last week's best of the best challenge had each of the designer's making a companion piece to one of his or her best design's. Logan created a zipper inspired design that the judges didn't like and he found himself eliminated.

This week, the five remaining designers approach their final challenge before the final three are selected to compete at Bryant Park. With only one guy remaining, the girls found tension in their apartment due to Irina's accusations from last week.

Heidi met the designers at the runway and told them they would be visiting a historic location with impressive views. Tim met the designers at the Getty Museum with the Los Angeles Mayor. Tim told the designers to use the museum and its grounds as inspiration for a design of their choice.

The designers had two days to complete the challenge and $300 budget at Mood. After sketching for 30 minutes, the designers shopped quickly for an arsenal of supplies.

With so much pressure up on their shoulders, the designers could almost feel Bryant Park within their grasps. Irina bonded with Gordan and Christopher with Carol Hannah. Althea felt awkward and out of place.

Irina continued to pick away at the remaining designers, as did Gordana when back at the apartment. Carol Hannah wished everyone would stop bickering and focus on their work.

Tim swung by the work room on the second day to review each designer's progress. Christopher explained his organic design based on mossy rocks and a water fountain. Tim warned him to keep an editing eye on his design.

Carol Hannah showed Tim photos of an ornate Victorian bed draped in a subtle blue fabric. He suggested she not lose sophistication. Irina explained her sheer dress which would be accompanied by an animal skin jacket. Tim seemed surprised and thought it looked like roadkill.

Althea described her architectural look based on the color and shape of the building. Tim found the look too puckered and didn't like its direction. Gordana cried as she described the Monet painting she hoped to replicate. Tim found her design direction impressive.

Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia were joined on the judging panel by fashion designer Cynthia Rowley and supermodel Cindy Crawford.

Althea described the architectural inspiration she found at the Getty Museum. Cynthia found her skirt ambitious and Heidi found it messy. Irina explained the painting which inspired her soft look but Nina and Cindy found issues with the styling.

Gordana cried as she described the Monet painting and how she brought it into her design. Nina thought it looked safe and wondered if Gordana could take a chance. Cynthia and Nina didn't like the back of the dress.

Carol Hannah explained the French bed which influenced her design. Nina thought she played it safe and Cindy couldn't see her inspiration in the actual dress. Christopher described the rock fountain which inspired his look. Cynthia found it heavy on the bottom as did Cindy. Heidi questioned the design and he broke down into tears.

Project Runway Winner Announced & One Designer Eliminated: Auf Wiedersehen

The five designers returned to the runway. Heidi informed Irina that she was going to fashion week.

Heidi told Christopher that he needs more experience and that he was out. She next told Carol Hannah that found her dress beautifully made and that she would be going to fashion week.

Heidi told Gordana that her dress wasn't spectacular enough and then told Althea she disappointed the judges today. Heidi gave Althea the news that she would be going to fashion week and that Gordana was eliminated.

Next week, the top three designers will debut their collections. Carol Hannah takes ill once she reaches New York.
