This week's Project Runway featured 13 female clients for whom the designers would need to make winning designs. Who was kicked off? Who was eliminated?

Fresh from the team challenge, the remaining thirteen Project Runway designers returned this week without Mitchell. In a historic outcome last week, the winning design yielded both the winning designer Ra'mon and the eliminated designer, Mitchell.

Heidi met the designers on the runway and told them Tim would meet the designers in the workroom with 13 women. Heidi warned the designers that they should plan to make these women very, very happy. The designers contemplated who these women would be, knowing that designer mother's have previously been used.

Project Runway Top 13 Episode 4 Recap: The Challenge

The designers entered the workroom to find Tim Gunn and each of their models. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, with fears ranging from designing for bridezillas or the homeless. The clients for this episode were the models who would be attending an upcoming industry event. The challenge was also announced to be the first one-day challenge, the designers having only until midnight to complete the work.

Issues immediately emerged for some designers, like Epperson who had a hard time narrowing his model down to a short list of needs. Louise feared the color red which her model felt strongly about, while Shirin's model wanted a royal blue jumpsuit with gold rope trim. This is why models are not necessarily designers.

After a trip to Mood with $100, the designers returned to begin work. Tim checked in to review progress and liked Althea's short black dress and suit jacket look. Logan's dress bordered on a smurf-inspired prom dress, while Epperson had unique detailing in a chic look. Based on Tim's feedback, Qristyl scrapped her dress and started something entirely new. Johnny struggled with self-doubt.

Project Runway Top 13 Episode 4 Recap: Runway Reaction

American designer Marc Bouwer and Zoe Glassner of Marie Claire magazine filled in for Nina Garcia and Michael Kors this week. Filling out the judging panel was Jennifer Rade, a celebrity stylist.

Following the runway show, Heidi called forward Louise, Irina, Christopher, Nicolas, Gordana, Shirin, and Ra'mon then dismissed them as having had high enough scores this week.

The remaining designers had the highest and lowest scores. The judges felt Carol Hannah's design was beautifully executed. Logan's design was labeled as looking like a prom dress. Epperson's model explained she wanted a romantic, punk, animal-inspired dress and Marc Bouwer loved the resulting dress.

The judges felt Johnny's design was bridesmaid-like and uninspired. Heidi felt Qristyl's dress aged the model while Heidi found Althea's look perfectly done.

Project Runway Winner Announced & One Designer Eliminated: Auf Wiedersehen

The six designers returned to the stage and Heidi called forward Epperson and announced he was in. She next announced Althea as having the winning design and immunity for next week. Carol Hannah and Johnny were allowed to leave the stage, having made it to the next round.

Heidi told Qristyl her simple black dress looked cheap and told her she didn't take any chances with the design. To Logan, Heidi commented on poor fabric choice and silhouette. Heidi announced Logan as being in and informed Qristyl she would be leaving.

Qristyl thanked Heidi and went to clean up her work station. She left smiling and determined to continue in her design career. In parting, Qristyl said, "Do I think I'm a great designer? I know I'm a great designer."

For next week, it appears the designers will be given fabric from which to make their designs.
