Four students remain as they're challenged to listen during a lingerie party. Later they're challenged to bounce a date during the field test.
Mystery shows up in his Abe Lincoln hat and tells the guys that if they succeed in gaining attraction, they’ll ultimately lose their girl if they can’t make it in the seduction phase. To bring this point home, he’s having Tara and Leah host a lingerie party for the guys so they can learn more about what types of things women like. Both ladies start explaining the various types of underwear they prefer while at the same time modeling each piece. Kosmo, sound bite extraordinaire, says he had trouble concentrating on what the girls were saying while they stood before him. He talked to his favorite body part, saying, “Down boy. Don’t move.” He even drops his papers as the girls walk in the room. The Challenge is to Buy LingerieThe challenge then is to buy lingerie for the girls. Brady and Joe purchase gifts for Leah, while Pradeep and Kosmo buy for Tara. Mystery explains that the challenge is really about listening. A Master Pick Up Artist should always appreciate beauty, but never be distracted by it. Joe D. wins the challenge by purchasing the exact type of items Leah said she preferred. As the guys relax and hang out, they begin talking about techniques to pick up women. As Joe explains one method, Pradeep slaps him hard on the face. This causes a rift between the guys, as both Joe and Kosmo confront Pradeep. Pradeep pretends to apologize but is laughing the entire time. It’s clear his regret at hitting Joe is not sincere. Later the guys enter the field test challenge, in which they are to “bounce” a date, which in Mystery-speak means that they'll be taking her from the club to a nearby restaurant. He explains that the advantage in doing this is the woman develops deeper feelings of trust and rapport more quickly. The guys begin rehearsing for the evening, trying to work out their nervous energy. Pradeep follows Joe around antagonizing him about slapping him before. Once again he apologizes and laughs, prompting Joe to ask him to just let it go. Pradeep Comes on StrongAs the challenge winner, Joe D. gets to take Matador along to the club as his wingman. While they open sets easily, Joe struggles in the attraction phrase. At one point Pradeep walks up to Joe’s set and immediately intrudes. Pradeep continues coming on strong until the girls end up leaving. Pradeep continues to his own set, where he manages to bore two girls who get up and head toward the bar in order to get away from him. He starts begging the girls to buy him a drink, and tells them he’ll continue telling them stories if they do. The girls tell him they’ll buy him a drink if he stops telling them stories instead. This is a clear sign that Pradeep needs to move on, but he just doesn’t get it. Brady opens a set by talking to the guys first. He then moves on to the girls and chats easily with them. He never manages to complete the challenge, however. Kosmo opens a set and sits down smoothly. He comes on a bit too strong and almost begs the girls when he asks if they could come to the restaurant across the street with him. Still, he succeeds and is the only one to complete the challenge. Medallions Are Handed OutAs challenge winner, Kosmo is the first to receive a medallion. This week it is blue, signifying enlightenment and clarity. Mystery tells Brady he’s stepped up his game, and gives him a medallion. Joe D. gets the last medallion but is warned that he needs to improve his game. Mystery then tells Pradeep that he is oblivious when someone wants him to leave. Pradeep nods, and at least this time understands that he’s the one going home. Next up: Moving targets and exotic dancers.
