The final two students put their eight weeks of training to the test as one is crowned Master Pick Up Artist.
As the field test winner from the previous week, Brady was safe from elimination. The final episode finds him contemplative as he waits to see whether Kosmo or Joe D. will join him in the concluding challenge. When Kosmo enters the room, they both share a congratulatory embrace. While they’re still competitors, both Brady and Kosmo acknowledge how much the past few weeks have meant to them. Kosmo underscores this by saying, “Before I got here I was nobody. Now I feel like I have a purpose.” Mystery Has a SurpriseMystery tells the guys that it’s time to celebrate their success by spending a night out on the town. Despite the good news, Brady is cautious about what the next challenge might be. This irritates Kosmo slightly, who just wants to rejoice in their progress. He asks Brady if he’s going to pick up Pradeep’s negative vibe now that they’re so close to the end. Although he’s seemingly more relaxed, Kosmo does admit that a surprise from Mystery is usually different from what the guys initially expect, saying, “Is he gonna tell us there’s 400 models outside right now that want to have sex with us?” As the guys are hanging out in the club with Mystery they soon find out their next challenge. While pointing to two other awkward guys hanging out in the club, Mystery asks them, “Do those guys remind you of anyone?” Of course, both Brady and Kosmo see themselves in the wallflowers standing around nervously. Mystery then informs them that Master Pick Up Artists don’t just ask women out, but teach other guys how to succeed as well. Their challenge therefore will be to build avatars for the new guys and teach them how to open sets. Brady and Kosmo Become TeachersKosmo tells his new student Kip, a computer nerd, that the first thing they’ll need to do is “change everything” about his appearance. They head to the store to work on clothes first. As they shop, Kip, 32, proves to be equally the sound bite of his mentor Kosmo, saying the reason he doesn’t have a girlfriend is because “every time I go to the find-a-girlfriend store they are out of my size.” Brady, meanwhile, is working with Dylan, a 25-year old arcade machine builder. Brady seems much more excited about the prospect of teaching and eagerly explains the “Peacock Theory” and why Dylan gets his makeover. He gets a new hairdo and clothes before they begin the hard work of practicing openers. Both Dylan and Kip seem to take on the energy and persona of their teachers. While in the club, Dylan opens sets easily and stacks routines without effort. However, he tended to use the same opener and didn’t seem attracted to his targets. Kip, on the other hand, adopted Kosmo’s fearlessness in going after multiple sets, but he asked too many questions and ended up bringing his value in the club down. Still, both students, fueled by their mentor’s step-by-step instructions, managed to achieve the goal of moving a set to a nearby couch in the club. Mystery Crowns the Master Pick Up ArtistMystery acknowledged that if he could choose both Brady and Kosmo, he would. As he decides whom to choose, he tells them the final medallion represents the end of this journey and the beginning of a new one. In the end, he chooses Kosmo. Kosmo wins $50,000 and the title of Master Pick Up Artist. Kosmo proves how much the competition has meant to him when he says, “I want all the women out there to know I’m not a player. I’m not a pimp. I’m not a jerk. I’m a pick up artist, and there’s a huge difference.”
