Galu Loses Their First Immunity Challenge and Goes to Tribal Council
At the end of the last episode of Survivor Samoa, Ben was sent home as the Foa Foa tribe voted him out at their third straight tribal council hearing. It put the Foa Foa tribe down four members as they had already lost one to injury, and heading into the fourth episode of Survivor Samoa, the counts for members still remaining was 10 for Galu and only six for Foa Foa
Survivor Samoa Episode 4
The newest episode of Survivor Samoa picked up basically where the show has been going, showing the inner workings of the Foa Foa tribe, and more of Russell complaining in camp. It also let him talk big about how he was going to run the tribe and the game his way (some more). It started the episode out on the wrong foot, because people really want to see what is going on in the Galu tribe.
After the first commercial break the show went to the Galu tribe, where Shambo began talking about how much she liked Foa Foa, and how she would have a big advantage is she had to switch tribes. When she got back, Erik tried working with her to find the immunity idol on their side of the beach, thinking for sure that the clues would mirror themselves on each tribe’s beach. He convinced Shambo to share the clues she had received in the last episode, and she shared everything she knew. It was a good two minutes before the show turned back to more Foa Foa dialogue at their camp.
Secret Survivor Samoa Reward Challenge
Each tribe had to choose three people to go to a reward challenge with the leader choosing two other people. Russell chose Shambo and Dave for Galu, while Mick chose the other Russell and Natalie to represent Foa Foa. The object was for the contestants to toss balls towards a flag to see who could get their balls the closest to the flag. The winner would receive several live chickens that were set aside as the reward. After quite a few balls were tossed, Foa Foa was the closest, and it came down to one final throw by Dave, who landed it right next to the flag to win the chickens for the Galu tribe. The Foa Foa representatives were not very pleased at the result.
The Second Individual Immunity Idol is Found
Back at the Galu tribal camp, John used the time that the reward challenge was going on to look around camp for the second individual immunity idol. While the other six tribe members were being lazy and lounging around, John miraculously found the idol by climbing up a tree. That means that both idols were found this season (Russell from Foa Foa found one already) have been found by people who basically had no clues to track it down yet. Simply amazing work done by these two contestants.
Survivor Samoa Immunity Challenge #4
The object of this immunity challenge was for the contestants to race across a net carrying blocks, stack the blocks, make their way across a rope bridge, find more blocks, and complete an even bigger stack with those blocks. Four people had to sit out for Galu in order to make the teams even, and then they were off and running. The teams were tied heading into the first stack, and they both got the stacks completed, with Foa Foa finishing slightly ahead at that stage. The teams were almost even again as they finished up the rope bridge.
The last stack was much tougher to figure out for the two tribes, and they had the same opportunity to get the stack started and finished, but Foa Foa had a lot of trouble getting started. Galu had their stack well under way before Foa Foa had even started. Foa Foa made a huge run though, and caught up, and when Galu dropped two blocks, Foa Foa was able to pull out their first immunity challenge win of the season.
Survivor Samoa Tribal Council #4
After a bit of bickering at tribal council, the Galu tribe had to make their first vote of the season. In the end, Galu decided to send Yasmin home this week. It was a shock to some that Shambo survived despite losing a chicken earlier in the week.
