The eleventh episode of Survivor offers a catch-up for those who have fallen behind and in the twelvth episode the castaways have been living in Africa 31 days.

With just seven players left, the Survivor game is coming to a head. In the twelfth episode, Bob comes back from Tribal Council upset with the tribe - especially Sugar - for "belittling Randy" as he got voted out. He warns Sugar ,"Don't ever do that again," but she believes Randy "dug his own grave."

Corinne jumps on the bandwagon and gets into it with Sugar over tribal politics, then later refers to the tribe as "mutants" and says she's done pretending to be nice to people. Bob and Ken catch some fish which leaves Ken feeling very proud as he says "It's time to put the powers in my own hands and take charge."

Reward Challenge

The tribe is to divide into two teams of three. They must then race into the swamp where they'll find two stations of sprocket-shaped puzzle pieces. Once they have collected all seven pieces they must arrange them so they work together, thus allowing a flag to raise. The first team of three to raise their flag moves to the final round where they'll square off against each other to solve a slide puzzle. The first person to solve wins a video phone message from their loved one(s).

Jeff Probst gives everyone a taste of home by playing a clip of their messages to them and it brings heartfelt tears to every contestant. He informs the tribe that the winner also gets pizza, beer, and brownies and that no one will be going to Exile Island this time. The castaways draw stones, appointing Crystal and Susie as Captains and they pick their teams. The teams become Susie, Matty and Kenny vs. Crystal, Sugar and Bob. Since Corinne was not picked, she is not allowed to participate in the challenge.

Crystal's team is the first to their pieces but fall behind when Susie's team starts working on their puzzle first. But after a gigantic comeback, Crystal's team is able to raise their flag first and win. In the final round, Bob is able to quickly defeat Sugar and Crystal and win the reward. Ken believes Bob's a threat and should be the next to go-unless he wins immunity.

A Lovely Time

During Bob's reward he is delighted not only by his wife's video message, but also by her surprise visit! After the shock of reuniting wears off, the pair join the rest of the tribe back at camp, where Bob shocks his teammates when he whistles for all their family members to join as well. While Ken and his sister talk about game strategy, Sugar and her sister gain a little closure by sprinkling some of their Dad's ashes into the water and saying a prayer.

Matty realizes how great his love for his girlfriend, Jamie, is and he asks her to marry him with a home-made necklace. In his sentimental state he advises all that " You have so much ability and gold in you. And if you dig-you will find it."

Bob and Corinne know they are next to go and discuss blindsiding Matty over treemail. Bob tells Corinne of his plan to make a second fake idol (using the guise Marcus had hid it before he threw the bottle in the ocean), and tells her he wants to alert one of the other five to its existence, thus throwing off how they vote.

Immunity Challenge

Probst asks the castaways questions about Gabon, Africa. When a question is answered correctly, the player earns a ball. Then the members take turns throwing their balls toward a target divided by zones. The person who lands their ball(s) in the zone closest to the center wins a 1-6 shot at the million.

Sugar, Matty and Bob battle it out but in the end, the victory goes to Bob. He and Corinne plan to pull in two others with their fake-idol scam; and blindside Matty. Since Bob won, Corinne knows the other five will want to vote her out instead so she makes a play to outwit Kenny with the fake idol story. He eats it up and plans to vote out Matty with Bob and Corinne.

Bob takes his fake idol and pleads his case to Crystal who falls for it and so "operation fake idol 2" is in play now. In order to be one step ahead of a potential fake idol, Kenny advises Crystal to vote for Corinne so either she'll go (if it's a fake) or Matty.

Tribal Council

During Tribal, Crystal admits to Jeff that the "whole trick of this game is knowing when to trust and when to cut your ties." Probst asks if anyone wants to play an idol and tribe members wait to see if Corinne is bluffing. As she shrugs off the invitation, it is apparent the votes will come down to her and Matty. The votes are tied 3-3 (Matty and Corinne) and with the last vote read-the twelfth person voted out and fourth member of the jury is Corinne.
