In the previous episode of VH1's Rock of Love Charm School, Brandi C. was sent home after she spit in Destiney's face during a drunken argument following a Charm School outing to the bar.
In the seventh episode of Charm School, the Charm School cast members got a lesson in the value of a great personality. The Charm School girls got "ugly makeovers" (and even a fat suit!) from a handful of special effects makeup artists, forcing them to use their personalities rather than their looks to win over three eligible bachelors: Charlie O'Connell from season seven of The Bachelor and Crossing Jordan; Grammy-nominated musician Ace Young from American Idol; and John Wolfe, an advertising executive and investment banker.
The winner of the challenge was Brandi M., who was picked as the favorite Charm School girl by two of the the three eligible bachelors, winning a date with all three of the men for herself and a friend - Destiney. Meanwhile, the other Charm School girls had to visit the bar as well...still wearing their fat suits and special effects "ugly" makeup.
Ultimately, the tipsy girls landed at home and this is when Heather, Destiney and the other girls got in an argument with Brandi M. and Lacey. It was this confrontation that led to the spitting incident that ultimately led to Brandi C.'s expulsion from Rock of Love Charm School.
A Summary for Episode Eight of Rock of Love Charm School
Episode eight begins with Lacey's attempt to make peace with the other girls, since her two allies - Megan Hauserman and Brandi C. have been eliminated. But the other Charm School cast members are suspicious of Lacey's attempts to make amends.
The commandment that's the focus of episode eight is "Thou Shalt Express Thyself," so it was only fitting that the girls got a lesson from a life coach and communication expert, to discussed the girls' major communication problems, in particular, their tendency to yell and scream. The girls got a bit of practice in healthy communication by speaking through sock puppets - training for their Charm School challenge: to compose a song or poem directed to another Charm School cast member who they find frustrating or angering.
It was no surprise that all but one of the girls - Heather - targets Lacey, expressing their true feelings and opinions about Lacey's conniving, manipulative behavior. Despite Lacey's great song - arguably the best out of all the performances - Brandi M. is selected as the winner of this Charm School challenge, earning Brandi M. immunity at elimination.
The Charm School Expulsion Ceremony
In the eighth episode of Charm School, it becomes clear that two girls are simply not advancing and improving: Jessica and Kristy Jo.
The Charm School cast members collectively decide that Kristy Jo and Jessica are the two girls who "need" Charm School the least. And in a twist, Charm School Headmistress Sharon Osbourne asks the girls of Charm School to decide whether it's Kristy Jo or Jessica who is least in need of "charm."
Ultimately, Jessica is overcome with emotion and she's unable to really provide a straight answer about why she should be allowed to stay at Charm School. Kristy Jo, on the other hand, explains that she's just started to let down her guard, clearing the way for self-improvements. Kristy Jo also explains how she wants the $100,000 prize to spend on a college education that will, in turn, help provide a better life for her son. In the end, the Charm School cast members pick Jessica as the girl who "needs" Charm School the least.
At elimination ceremony, Sharon calls Lacey, Jessica and Kristy Jo down to the carpet. Lacey, Sharon says, still has her perplexed and she's unsure whether Lacey's apparent remorse is genuine or just another attempt at manipulation. But ultimately, it's both Jessica and Kristy Jo who are sent home. Both girls are eliminated from Charm School on the grounds that the girls are already charming in many ways, and neither is showing a marked improvement.
The elimination of Kristy Jo and Jessica leaves just four girls in the running for the $100,000 prize that goes to the winner of Charm School. The final four girls are Lacey, Destiney, Heather and Brandi M.
