Week 4 of Season 8 of The Biggest Loser put contestants' ability to make healthy choices to the test when they had to order out for every meal.
In the fourth week of season 8 of The Biggest Loser contestants faced a food challenge that caused all to struggle with choices. Viewers and contestants were told early in the episode that the cupboards in the kitchen of on The Biggest Loser campus would be under lock and key. Every meal for an entire week for each contestant had to be ordered from a restaurant and it was up to the contestants themselves to make healthy choices. Eating Out When Returning HomeRealistically contestants will not be eating at home every meal of every day after leaving the campus and this challenge was an excellent opportunity for contestants to see what problems may arise when ordering food from a restaurant. Contestants were given menus and customized their orders over the phone. What they were not expecting were their specific requests not being followed. Some meals came with added cheese, pita chips, and even some items contestants had asked to be eliminated. This challenge showed contestants not only how to order healthy food, but how to pick off and resist eating foods that they had not anticipated being a part of their meals. Holding on For ImmunityThe immunity challenge for week four of season 8 of The Biggest Loser required contestants to hang by their arms suspended over a pool. The contestant to hold on the longest granted immunity for his or her team and could not be voted off after the weigh-in. Daniel was the winner of this challenge ensuring that he and Shay would go onto participate in week 5. This challenge was of particular importance to Daniel because his team had fallen below the yellow line in week 4 of season 7 and he was sent home. Tracey and Coach Moe Both InjuredEarly in the week Tracey faced the wrath of her fellow contestants for her nasty game play in week three. To make matters worse for this contestant she was informed by a doctor at the beginning of the week that she was not medically stable to work out at all or to even be losing weight that week. Coach Moe was left having to try and keep the team from being eliminated yet again. He pushed himself as hard as he could and ended up injuring his back. He pushed through the pain and kept working out and in the end his efforts and Tracey's surprising four pound weight loss kept the team alive. An Emotional EliminationLone player Julio and the brown team, Liz and Danny, fell below the yellow line in week 4 of season 8 of The Biggest Loser. These three contestants became close friends and considered the situation to be the worst possible outcome. The other teams struggled with deciding who they should vote should go home as they new all three players deserved to be there. In the end Julio was voted as the one who should go home. Viewers can look forward to week five of season 8 of The Biggest Loser as it was announced that big changes are about to take place. The teams are about to split up and merge into two larger teams, one assigned to Jillian and one assigned to Bob.
