Review of Biggest Loser Season 8 Week 3Surprises in Week Three of Primetime Weight Loss Competition
Week three of season 8 of The Biggest Loser was one that left the audience surprised at the actions of one contestant who played dirty throughout the week.
Week three of season 8 of The Biggest Loser left viewers surprised and even angered at one contestant. During this week Tracey not only made choices that angered trainers Jillian and Bob, but also alienated other contestants by telling lies and playing dirty. Two Pound Advantage vs. Keeping TrainersEarly in week 3 of The Biggest Loser contestants were told that it would be a week of choices. Contestants were then told that one team could choose to have a two pound advantage at the weigh in but in order to do this they had to give up training with Bob and Jillian that week. The first contestant to cross a line on the floor would be given the advantage. For a few moments no one moved as all knew Bob and Jillian's help was worth a lot more than two pounds. Finally, to everyone's surprise, Tracey stepped over the line and took away her partners as well as her own privilege of having the help of trainers for the rest of the week. Tracey Gets One-on-one With Bob and JillianAfter choosing the two pound advantage, angry Bob and Jillian talk to Tracey about her choice. She promises them she will think about her choices in the future and not make decisions based on fear. Unfortunately Tracey did not keep this promise. The First ChallengeIn the first food temptation challenge, contestants had a plate of 100 calorie cupcakes set in front of them. Host Allison Sweeney informed contestants that whoever ate the most cupcakes would have control over the weigh-in that week and could choose which team member's weight would count. Red team contestant Antoine ate two cupcakes and stopped. Tracey on the other hand decided she wanted control and ate four cupcakes totalling 400 calories. Tracey indeed gained control of the weigh-in but she also faced the wrath of Bob and Jillian who all that declared she was a waste of their time and did not deserve to be there. Dirty Game Play at the Weigh-inTracey spoke with many of the contestants before the weigh-in and contestants asked her not to count the weight of certain team members. Tracey acted sympathetic and made promises. At the weigh-in she showed her true colors and chose the team members who she knew would probably have lost the smallest percentage of body weight in order to ensure she would not go below the yellow line and risk being voted off. The trainers and other contestants were outraged and hoped that Tracey herself would not perform well in that weeks weigh-in. To their chagrin Tracey managed to lose 11 pounds, putting her team in the number one spot. Contestants Shay and Daniel, and Antoine and Sean were the two teams that fell below the yellow line. The Red Team, Antoine and Sean sacrificed themselves by asking that they be voted off so that Shay and Daniel could stay, knowing they needed more help and could not lose the weight at home. At the end of week three everyone said goodbye to Antoine and Sean. Viewers were given an update at the end of the episode showing that both were losing weight well at home.
