The sixth week of Britain's Next Top Model took the remaining nine contestants out of Britain and into Iceland.

Episode 6 of the fifth season of Britain’s Next Top Model kicked off with shrieks. The girls’ excitement was evident upon learning they were going abroad. Judge and photographer Huggy Ragnarsson meets them at the airport and reveals they’re going to Iceland. Over dinner in their new destination, some of the girls question what they’re eating — a harbinger of the challenge they will face the next day.

Top Model Contestants Shoot Commercial in Iceland

That challenge is to shoot a commercial to market Iceland. Andrea Brabin, who runs a casting agency, tells the girls they are to wear Icelandic clothes, eat Icelandic food — sheep’s head, in particular — and recite a line in the local language, while shooting the commercial.

The sheep’s head horrifies the girls. “It’s got teeth!” Ashley exclaims. All they have to eat of it, though, is a small piece at the end of a toothpick. “Do I have to eat this?” Viola asks on set. She gets through the shoot, but wretches afterwards. Annaliese doesn’t understand what all the fuss was about, as “it wasn’t that bad.”

Jade cries because she’s a vegetarian and admits to Andrea she would refuse to do this even if she was being paid a million dollars. Andrea reveals Jade did an excellent job on the commercial, but she wouldn’t have gotten the job because she didn’t eat the meat. Meanwhile, Sophie declares, “Ashley is going to suck at it,” and she was kind of right.

“She almost threw up on the table,” Andrea says. “I would never show her to the client if this was a real casting.” Sophie puts sex appeal into her shoot, which Andrea likes, and ultimately announces her as the challenge winner. Her prize is one of the designer outfits.

Top Model Contestants Have Photo Shoot at Blue Lagoon

The girls’ photo shoot is the next day, on the rocky shoreline of the Blue Lagoon, in the cold. They’re to represent different queens, with Huggy as their photographer. They all do a good job, based on feedback by Huggy. Viola is told repeatedly to keep still, and Madeleine receives praise. “My God, she’s photogenic,” Huggy says. “I just wish she was a couple of inches taller.”

Over cocktails back at the hotel, the girls decide to fess up what their first impressions were of each other. Viola gets worked up when Ashley talks about manners and tells Ashley to ----ing shut up. Ashley fires her words back and Viola ends up in tears. Jade’s fingers are in her mouth, as she is so horrified.

Top Model Contestant Daisy is Guest Judge

Back at the judging panel in London, Lisa reiterates the prizes the winner will receive: A contract with Models 1, being the face of Max Factor campaign, and the cover and six-page spread in Company magazine.

“Daisy, you’re progressing really well,” Lisa says upon viewing her shot as the queen of ice and snow. Since Daisy did really well in Iceland, she is exempt from elimination this week and gets to sit on the panel as a guest judge.

Daisy, as a judge, tells nearly every girl they needed to extend their neck more. Viola’s shot evokes the most squabbling amongst the judges. “You’re supposed to be queen,” designer and judge Louis Mariette tells her of her shot, where she just stands there. Lisa and Huggy disagree. “This is cardboard cutout on a lunar landscape,” Louis adds.

Without Daisy, the judges deliberate and Annaleise — for losing focus — and Madeleine — for not being editorial enough — land in the Bottom 2, and it’s Madeleine who they send home.
