The street dancing showcase is back on a new night and stronger than ever for its fourth season.

The Aug. 30th ABDC challenge was Bollywood. The six remaining crews had to fuse the exotic moves of Bollywood dancing to their hip-hop routines with the help of guest Bollywood choreographer Nakul Dec Mahajan. As host Mario Lopez, of Saved By The Bell and Dancing With the Stars fame stated, “this challenge would create a dance style like no one’s ever seen”.

Every week, the crews are given a challenge that must be incorporated to that week's routine. At the end of the show, viewers are given the individual phone numbers where they can call and vote for their favorite dance crew. The two dance crews receiving the fewest votes for the week are left to dance it out leaving the decision of who goes on up to the three judges - Shane Sparks, Lil Moma, and JC Chasez. The following week is the results/performance show where the cycle repeats anew.

Massive Monkeys Perform First

The first crew safe for the week, therefore moving on to next week’s show as well as the first to perform for the evening was Massive Monkeys. All three judges had positive things to say about the performance. Former NSYNC member, JC Chasez was the first judge to comment on the dancers telling them the Baliwood/hip-hop fusion was “well done and well executed”. Hip hop choreographer Shane Sparks said that it was “one of the best performances” Massive Monkeys had done in a while. Recording artist Lil Moma simply told the crew “you guys are so dope”.

Drama Surrounding Vogue Evolution's Leomi

The next safe crew was Vogue Evolution. Lil Moma critiqued them saying “your performance was good, but not excellent”, but her comments didn't stop there. She also laid into Leomi, a transgender woman, member of Vogue Evolution who refused to show up to the crews’ practice do to some infighting between the members. Little Moma told her that since she was in the process of becoming a woman, she needed to act like a lady. Chasez told the crew to “live up to your potential and share your gifts”. And Sparks, also addressing the bickering within the dancers stated “at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is what ya’ll do on the stage”.

Rhythm City Stands Out

The third saved crew was Rhythm City who gave one of the best performances of the night Sparks “ya’ll bad…ya’ll be killing the ‘ography”. Lil Moma “best combination of their style with the challenge…it was phenomenal”. Chasez “did a wonderful job of communicating an art form to the people at home".

Afroborike - The Last Safe Crew

The final crew definitely moving o to next week's show was Afroborike. Lil Moma said it was the crew's “best performance” yet on the show. Chasez thought the dance was just good, not seeming overly pleased with what he saw. Sparks, who raked them over the coals last week during the martial arts challenge said that if he has to get on them the way he did in order to get them to dance the way they did in this challenge, he would.

Two Crews Duke It Out

We Are Heroes and Beat Ya Feet Kings were the two crews left for the dance off. We Are Heroes, the only remaining all female crew, performed with one of their members suffering from a torn ligament in her back went first. Of We Are Heros, Lil Moma said “ya’ll tore it up…it had everyone in here wanting to stand up”.

Of Beat Ya Feet Kings Shane Sparks said the crew they had to take it o the next level every week. Chasez commented on both crews saying of We Are Heroes that he loved how they incorporated the Bollywood style with their own style (popping) and of Beat Ya Feet Kings he said that he loved “the fact that you guys are fighting everyday”. Chasez enjoyed both performances, but all three judges would need to decide which crew was still in the running.

The crew moving on to next week's performance was We Are Heroes, leaving a sad and disappointed Beat Ya Feet Kings to walk off the stage and out of contention for the $100,000 prize.
