Nancy Lives Through Weeds Season Five Premiere
Wonderful Wonderful Weeds Episode
The June 8, 2009 episode of Weeds, Wonderful Wonderful, was the fifth-season premiere. In the episode Nancy got a sneak peak in to what it will be like with Esteban as her child’s father, and Quinn tried to turn her mother in to money.
Esteban and Andy Learn the News
Esteban was obviously shocked to her about his future child. Cesar still wanted to kill her for betraying the group, but Esteban said that would no longer be happening. Instead, Cesar killed two of their associates.
Andy told Nancy he wanted to flee to Denmark, but Nancy reminded Andy that it is very difficult to flee from the Mexican mafia. She then told him she is pregnant, and he abruptly left the room.
Quinn’s Plot to Kill
Rudolfo, he boyfriend of Celia’s eldest daughter, called Dean threatening to kill Celia if he didn’t send him a bunch of money. Dean took the threat less than serious and said she was his ex-wife so he didn’t really care what happened to her. This was not OK with Quinn, who freaked out on her boyfriend for not trying harder.
Rudolfo then called Nancy. She also seemed less than excited by the threats.
Next, he called Captain Till, Andy and Doug. No one cared, and Celia was shocked that not one person in her phone cared enough to pay her ransom. The two began to bond over how Celia’s daughter beats him up, and he said it isn’t all the time and sometimes he just messes up. Quinn then came in the room and yelled at him to stop talking to her mother and come have sex with her.
Celia tried to change Quinn’s mind, but Quinn was more interested in having people cut her up for money than going for a facial with her mother.
Everything changed for Quinn when Celia mentioned she had been through radiation for cancer. Rudolfo explained her organs were no longer good, and he finally told off Quinn and kicked her out.
New Business Ventures
Doug, Andy and Silas began to come up with new ideas for their marijuana market. Doug suggested growing their stuff in a national park, and Shane suggested the national park in San Diego.
Shane is getting wilder as he gets older. He let the two female friends of his pierce his ear, and he is now selling marijuana to teachers and other students.
The Family Weighs In
Andy was acting very suspicious with Doug and Silas around. He went off on Rudolfo over the phone in front of Doug and Silas, and he let it slip that women in their 40s shouldn’t be having babies.
“Who’s having a baby?” Silas asked. He of course told them, right before he went to bake Nancy banana bread.
The boys confronted Nancy and said they wanted her to have an abortion.
Esteban Lays Down the Law
Esteban and Nancy went to the gynecologist. Esteban and Cesar did all of the talking, and they did it all in Spanish. Nancy was very uncomfortable because she didn’t know where she was or what was going on. Esteban wanted her to sign a consent form for a Chrionic Villus Sampling so he could be sure the baby is his, and when she refused he almost got violent. He stormed out of the room without giving her a choice, and she began to cry.
When she returned home she asked Andy to take Shane to her sister’s house. Shane was not happy.
