Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Official on Hills Season EndThe Hills, Something Old, Something New…Ex-Laguna Beach cast member Kristin Cavallari makes her debut; Spencer and Heidi are horrified by Holly's behavior at their rehearsal dinner
On the May 31, 2009 episode of The Hills, Something Old, Something New…, Speidi lovers and haters watched the culmination of their roller-coaster relationship. The episode was also star Lauren Conrad’s final episode. Lauren told Lo she wasn’t sure what was next for her, but she was enjoying that feeling. Making AmendsHeidi told Stephanie that Holly was going to be her maid-of-honor, and Stephanie was heartbroken. After calling Lauren, Spencer set out to make it right with Heidi’s mother. They sat down for lunch, and he explained to her that he has grown up a lot lately, especially since therapy. She was impressed with Spencer’s alleged growth, so impressed in fact that she agreed to give Spencer her blessing. Next it was time to talk to Brody. When Brody learned about Spencer’s therapy he bursts out laughing. He couldn’t believe how Spencer had changed, and he didn’t think it was a good thing. Lauren told Brody about Heidi’s visit over dinner. The two of them felt the couple was making a huge mistake, but Brody tried to convince her that it was their mistake to make. He said he will go because it is important to Spencer, and he believed she would regret not going to the wedding. “While everyone will feel like they’re going to a wedding, I feel like I’m going to a funeral,” Lauren said. One Last ChanceLo and Lauren decided to throw one last bash in their home before moving out. While there Brody apologized for not trusting Stephanie in the past and said he really cared about her. Before leaving Stephanie made one final attempt to convince Lauren to attend the wedding. Lauren said she just couldn’t because she believed Heidi wanted her to go to show things are OK but since things aren’t OK it doesn’t make sense. The Shower and RehearsalHeidi was thrown a fabulous bridal shower, and Stephanie was upset that Holly showed up 30 minutes late. She was also upset that Holly didn’t write what everyone got Heidi for the thank-you notes. “I should’ve been the made-of-honor,” Stephanie told Audrina. The rehearsal was a large dinner with family and friends. Stephanie gave a teary-eyed speech, and Holly gave a speech full of back-handed compliments toward Spencer. She also called her sister desperate. Heidi and Spencer looked confused by her speech, and Heidi was horrified when Holly stained Heidi’s new purse by throwing food. The small thing caused a huge issue. Spencer went after Holly and her mother, but when Heidi’s mother claimed throwing food in a restaurant wasn’t rude Spencer walked away. Holly broke in to tears and left. The next morning Holly apologized and said maybe Stephanie should be maid-of-honor. Heidi said she was keeping Holly. She also asked if a certain document was given to a certain person but didn’t mention who. I Officially DoRight before the ceremony Lauren surprised Heidi with her arrival. She said she went because all that matters to her is Heidi is happy. After several years of breakups and makeups Spencer and Heidi finally said “I do.” They did not write their own vows. Another surprise guest was Stacie the bartender, who was invited by Spencer’s friend, but nothing was more shocking than the arrival of ex-Laguna Beach member Kristin Cavallari. Everyone except Lauren seemed happy to see her, but she was there because she introduced Heidi and Spencer. Audrina seemed to change her opinion though when she heard Kristin was looking for a man and had just met Justin. Kristin caught the bouquet, and Lauren left before the reception.
