Divorcee Wedding Dress Challenge & Model Selection Misunderstanding

Designers created new designs from used wedding dresses for a set of divorced women. Since the challenge didn't use the models, they had the week off from competition.

Last week, the Project Runway models wore blue-inspired dresses for the Macy's INC challenge. During the model selection process, Vanessa from the dream team wasn't picked and ended up eliminated.

This week's challenge required the designers to work with divorced women to design new looks for them using their old wedding dresses. The challenge gave the models some reprieve as the divorcees would be walking the runway.

The following episode summary contains spoilers, including the which model wins the weekly challenge and which one is eliminated.

Design Challenge Results & Designer Elimination

The episode opens with Gordana being announced the challenge winner. Heidi then turned her attention to the bottom two designers, Logan and Epperson. Celine and Koji were scared since they were paired with the bottom two designers and had no control over the situation this week.

Heidi announced the elimination of Epperson which would place his model Kojii in jeopardy. Epperson visited the models and said his goodbyes, especially to Matar who he had enjoyed working with during the competition.

Heidi met the models on the runway to talk about their experience in working with the divorcees to get them ready for the runway. The models worked to train each of the divorced women paired with their designers. The models explained how they felt about this week's elimination, uncertain of how the designers would make their selections.

The models headed back to the apartment and prepared for taking the divorced women out. The divorcees wore their newly designed dresses and handed out marriage advice to the young models.

The next day at the apartment, the models sat around and contemplated their fate. Kojii, Matar, and Celine feared elimination since Epperson had worked heavily with Matar while Logan recently switched from Kojii to Celine.

Models of the Runway Model Elimination

Heidi met the fashion designers at the runway and brought out the nervous models. Gordana was the winning designer this week and was allowed to select first. As she was about to select, Celine accidentally farted causing an outburst of laughter and release of tension. Gordana selected Matar, shocking Tara.

The selection continued and Carol-Hannah picked Lisa and Althea chose Tanisha. Suddenly, Gordana said to Althea, "I thought you were going to pick Tara." Althea whispered, "No, I told you I was going to pick Tanisha." It became clear that Gordana thought Tara would be safe but realized a miscommunication had placed her in jeopardy.

Christopher continued the selection process by picking Katie, Shirin picked Ebony, Nicolas chose Kalyn, Irina chose Celine, and Logan was left to choose between Kojii and Tara. Logan selected Kojii, thus eliminating Tara. Gordana shook her head and broke down crying backstage. She hugged Tara and explained there was a misunderstanding.

Tara went to say goodbye to the other models. She cried but explained it wasn't because she was eliminated but because she would miss the models.

Next Week on Models of the Runway

The models are thankful to still be on the runway and look forward to the next challenge. Katie admits she doubts Christopher's design for the first time.
