Macy's INC Blue Challenge, Dream Team Noise, and Runway Trainer

Designers created blue inspired runway looks this week for the Macy's INC blue challenge. Models wore a range of looks, from a bridesmaid style to a disco pumpkin dress.

Last week, the Project Runway models faced the movie genre challenge which featured both an ice queen and a reptile. Ra'mon delivered the green reptilian design and was eliminated, placing Vanessa in danger. In a model selection twist, each designer was forced to pick a new model, one that they hadn't used before. In the end, Fatma wasn't selected and was eliminated.

This week's challenge required the designers to take inspiration from the color blue to create two designs for Macy's and INC. The designers worked in teams.

The following episode summary contains spoilers, including the which model wins the weekly challenge and which one is eliminated.

Design Challenge Results & Designer Elimination

The episode opens with the elimination of Louise and Kojii would now be in danger this week. Irina won the challenge with model Katie. Katie was originally paired with Christopher so she was happy he was safe.

Kojii feared elimination since she was last to be picked in the prior week. Louise came to the room to say her goodbyes. The models then headed off the runway for a meeting with Heidi.

The models discussed how it felt to work with different designers, as well as their fear in being selected this week. Kojii mentioned that she didn't bond well with Louise and wasn't sure if anyone would select her this week. That night, the dream team (Tanisha, Lisa, Vanessa) partied and made noise so that others in the apartment couldn't sleep.

The next day the models were off to meet with famed runway trainer Michael Maddox. Several models thought they didn't need the help but Michael made it clear that they shouldn't be divas. He admitted that he would be tough on them so that they would get it.

Matar didn't understand what Michael wanted and they got into an argument. He came across as very aggressive and had called each girl, "pumpkin pie." He explained that it's just how he calls the models and not to take offense of it. If nothing else, it was annoying from a viewer perspective.

The models estimated that Michael said pumpkin pie 15 million times during the course of an hour. Matar felt that he took it all too seriously.

Models of the Runway Model Elimination

Heidi met the fashion designers at the runway and brought out the models. She informed the designers that the nine designers could select a model of their choice. The winning designer Irina asked to work with Tanisha this week.

Althea selected Tara again, Shirin took her time and then stayed with Ebony, Nicolas chose Kalyn, Gordana took Matar, Christopher selected Katie, Carol Hannah picked Lisa, Epperson chose Kojii, and Logan picked Celine. Due to this, Vanessa of the dream team was eliminated.

Vanessa was shocked and sad. Tanisha and Lisa tried to unpack her bags, but in the end they had to say goodbye.

Next Week on Models of the Runway

The models are thankful to still be on the runway but worry that the designers will change their minds next week.
