Best Look Companion Challenge & Double-Sided Tape Controversy

The designers use their best design from the show as inspiration to create a companion piece. One model uses forbidden double-sided tape and is told to remove it.

Last week, the Project Runway models faced the Michael Kors challenge with Kojii and Celine finding themselves the final two models waiting to be picked. In the end, Logan made the decision and he chose to work again with Kojii.

This week's challenge required the designers to create a companion piece to their best design from the show. The judges selected one piece for each of the designers.

The following episode summary contains spoilers, including the which model wins the weekly challenge and which one is eliminated.

Design Challenge Results & Designer Elimination

The episode opens with Althea being announced the challenge winner. With Logan and Christopher in the bottom two, Kojii and Katie feared elimination as well.

Although the models thought Christopher would be eliminated, it was Logan who left the competition. Once again, Kojii feared that she would likewise be eliminated this week. Having been the bottom nearly every week, it seemed her luck had finally run out.

The models sat down to relax after the runway show and it became apparent Katie was upset. Tanisha asked her what was wrong and at first Katie pretended she was fine. Then, Katie decided to burst out with an accusation that Kalyn had cheated.

During the runway show, Kalyn applied double-sided sticky tape to hold the dress close to her bosom. Using the tap is against runway rules and she was alerted by a production assistant that she must remove the tape. She told Katie and the other models that she had removed the tape. Katie didn't believer her and said, "If you make it to finals, I'll be pissed."

Unfortunately, Katie remained upset and it created tension throughout the model apartment. Kalyn felt badly but held strong with her stance that she removed the tape when told to do so before the runway show. Everyone except for Katie believed her.

Heidi met the fashion designers at the runway and brought out the models. This week the designers could pick whomever they wished.

Althea selected first due to her challenge win and she picked Tanisha again. Carol Hannah selected Lisa, Christopher picked Katie, and Irina chose Kalyn. Gordana had to choose between Matar and Kojii. Her alliance had clearly been to Matar and she decided to stay with her once again. Due to this, Kojii was eliminated.

Kojii looked forward to laying in her yard with her daughter but admitted she would miss the other models. It was an experience unlike any other and she had grown to love being with the girls.

Next week, Katie continues to emit tension as the models face the final challenge leading up to Bryant Park.
