David Cook and Lady GaGa performed on American Idol. Celia dealt with the backlash of last week's elimination on America's Next Top Model.

Tonight on American Idol the top eight performers were announced. On America’s Next Top Model the models got the chance to practice their facial expressions on Tyra’s body.

American Idol, “Results Show”

The judges talked about how many of the singers chose the wrong song last night. Randy said that maybe they gave them too wide of a category, and Kara said she appreciated her heckling the previous night because she is trying to do a job.

The top nine performed Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” Everyone did a fantastic job, but Scott, Allison and Kris stood out the most. Adam also had a spectacular performance.

The audience got to see “a typical Idol week,” which consisted of photo shoots, red carpets, interviews and a lot of singing. There really isn’t any down time for these performers.

Ryan separated the singers in to three groups tonight – Kris, Megan and Matt; Adam, Lil and Allison; Scott, Danny and Anoop.

David Cook, last season’s winner, sang. He was also surprised with a presentation of a framed platinum album for sales of his first album.

Megan, Allison and Anoop were in the bottom three, and Simon said only one would be worth saving.

Lady GaGa performed.

Megan was left for elimination, and the judges decided not to save her even before her final performance. “That’s fine,” she said.

America’s Next Top Model, “Here’s Your Test”

Tahlia was obviously upset after last week’s elimination, but Celia said she does not regret what she said about Tahlia. Celia doesn’t think it is fair for someone who doesn’t want to be there to be saved over someone who does want to be there. Tahlia didn’t want to cause more drama, but Teyona and Aminat had no problem confronting the girls about their alleged backstabbing.

The models worked on their facial expressions with Jay and Beth Stern, and their practice led to a test using a life size posters of Tyra Banks with the face cut out. The models had to choose an expression based on the body language in the photos, and they were brought in one by one to shoot. Jay said that Sandra seems to be fading in this competition. Beth felt Allison had no expression. London and Natalie nailed their photos. The winner was Natalie, and she received 50 percent more shots at the upcoming photo shoot.

Celia and Tahlia talked about their issues, and Celia said she is positive Tyra is mad at her and she will be eliminated this week.

The night’s photo shoot had the girls emoting color. Each girl was assigned a color, and the color was splashed all over their face and hair. Allison held back a lot. Teyona didn’t show off her color well. Jay told Natalie she needed her extra frames today because she was stiff. Jay thought this was Celia’s best shoot for her facial expressions.

During deliberation the judges said Celia “gave good neck,” Allison needs to branch out with her looks, Sandra’s photo lacked power and Teyona nailed her color, which was surprising after Jay’s comment. Their favorite photo seemed to be Fo’s. They said it was fire. Privately the judges thought Natalie’s photo put her lower in the competition, and they admitted they are having a hard time siding with Celia after last week’s issue. They also said London’s photo was unattractive, and Allison’s photo was fantastic.

This week it came down to Sandra and Celia. Sandra went home because Tyra felt she was a “one-shot model.”
