Kisha and Jennifer Eliminated on Amazing Race
Amazing Race, He Made Me Look Like Alice Cooper
The May 3, 2009 episode of Amazing Race, He Made Me Look Like Alice Cooper, was the continuation of the April 26, 2009 episode. The teams continued their travels in Beijing and became more acquainted with the area’s culture and delicacies.
Find the Gnome
The next clue for the teams was to search local shops for a Travelocity gnome. When Kisha and Jennifer arrived at the stop they were near tears, thankfully they received the clue.
Margie and Luke were the first to find the gnome. Margie’s and Luke’s clue told them to ride an electric bicycle to the Forbidden City. Tammy and Victor were first at the bikes and set out for DogDan Station.
Dress Up or Eat Out
At the station the teams chose between Beijing Opera or Chinese Waiter. Tammy and Victor chose Chinese Waiter, which meant they had to go to a restaurant, take a table’s order, and deliver it to the chef in Mandarin. The other teams chose Beijing Opera, which meant they had to travel to an opera house and dress up, makeup and costume, like a male and female Chinese performer.
Tammy and Victor were done with their task quickly. Margie and Luke had trouble with their task because Margie wasn’t trusting Luke while he was trying to do her makeup. She felt it was too heavy, and he couldn’t get her to stop moving.
Jaime and Cara were stuck in last because of lack of a cab, even though they left first. They became even more frustrated when their driver went to the wrong place, and they were forced to find another cab.
U-Turn and Some Tasty Treats
The next clue was the second u-turn. Unlike the first u-turn, if a team chose to u-turn someone they also had to identify themselves. Tammy and Victor were the first to arrive at the u-turn, and they decided to u-turn Kisha and Jennifer. “I can’t outrun you,” Victor wrote on their picture.
After the u-turn the teams hit a roadblock. The player that participated had to eat Chinese delicacies – starfish, larva, scorpion and grasshoppers. Victor chose to complete the task, and he did very well.
Jaime and Cara were very worried about how far behind they were, but Kisha and Jennifer and Margie and Luke had their own issues. No one could pronounce the next destination, so couldn’t find it. Once Margie and Luke found the u-turn they were very happy to see who was u-turned. Kisha and Jennifer were not as excited to see that they had to complete the second task.
The second task was very difficult for Kisha and Jennifer. They had a lot of trouble with pronunciations and were lucky they didn’t offend anyone.
Elsewhere, Margie was downing the Chinese delicacies and Jaime and Cara were breaking down because of frustration, yet they wouldn’t listen to the people that were telling them where to go. When they finally found the u-turn they were still arguing.
Pit Stop
Tammy and Victor completed their task, and the next clue sent them to the leg’s pit stop – Niao Chao, the spot of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Tammy and Victor were miles ahead and of course were team number one. Margie and Luke were team number two.
Kisha and Jennifer and Jaime and Cara were neck and neck at the eating task, but Kisha and Jennifer left first. Unfortunately, Jennifer had to use the bathroom, which gave Jaime and Cara a chance to get ahead. They ended up in spot three, and Kisha and Jennifer were eliminated.
