Jeff and Ali Eliminated – Superstars
The Superstars, 103
On the July 7, 2009 episode of The Superstars, 103, the celebrities and athletes swam the length of two football fields and shot baskets for safety. Also, another team was eliminated.
Kristi/Maks Swim Hard
The first competition was a swimming race. The celebrities and athletes had to combined swim the length of two football fields. Jeff, Terrell, Maks, David, Bode and Brandi swam the first leg of the race, while Ali, Joanna, Kristi, Lisa, Paige and Julio swam the second leg.
Maks took the early lead, but David and Bode weren’t far behind. Maks and David finished first, sending their partners in to the water. Brandi was the last person to cross the finish line, but Julio had no problem making up their lost time. He nearly finished first, but Kristi was out of the water just a few seconds sooner.
Kristi/Maks won the Lagoon Swim, and Terrell/Joanna finished last.
Brandi/Julio Shoot for First Place
The second challenge was a basketball challenge. The goal was to sink as many baskets as possible, and the further from the hoop you were the more points you scored. The second person couldn’t shoot until the first person had scored, but the first person could decide to pass the ball if they missed.
The final results were:
- Brandi/Julio – 24
- Bode/Paige – 18
- Terrell/Joanna – 15
- Jeff/Ali – 13
- Lisa/David – 12
- Kristi/Maks – 7
Based on the combined scores from the two challenges, Bode/Paige and Kristi/Maks had to compete in the rubber match. They went head-to-head in a second shooting match, and Kristi/Maks earned safety for themselves.
Lisa/David versus Jeff/Ali
Lisa/David, Terrell/Joanna, Jeff/Ali and Bode/Paige competed in the elimination obstacle course.
Lisa/David and Bode/Paige competed in the first heat. Bode was unbelievably fast. He had a huge lead throughout his entire leg, and this time he managed to finish without getting caught in the cargo net. Bode had given Paige a huge lead, but Lisa was able to catch up. The two practically crossed the finish line at the same time, but Paige crossed just a few seconds sooner.
Terrell/Joanna and Jeff/Ali competed in the second heat. Joanna and Ali moved through the course side-by-side, but Ali finished first. Terrell had no problem moving past Jeff, though. He blew through the event, sending Jeff/Ali to the elimination heat.
The elimination heat was Lisa/David and Jeff/Ali. Lisa and Ali were moving at the same pace for the first half of the race, but Lisa was able to gain a little bit of a lead. David had a little trouble at the incline, which gave Jeff the chance to catch up. The race was tight, but David finished first, eliminating Jeff/Ali.
