I Love Money Cast Member Tamara Gets Eliminated and Sent Home

A new I Love Money cast of 19 returns to VH1. Cast members include Milf, Cali, The Entertainer, Heat, Angelique, Ice, Buckwild, Prancer, Myammee and Buddha.

I Love Money 2 premiered on VH1 on February 2, 2009, with a brand-new cast of reality TV stars from shows like I Love New York, Flavor of Love, Rock of Love and Real Chance of Love competing for the $250,000 grand prize.

A Summary of I Love Money 2 Episode One

In this premier episode, the 19 I Love Money 2 cast arrives at the Mexican mansion. After claiming bedrooms, the cast members are summoned to share their plans for the $250,000 prize as host Craig J. Jackson cut checks for each cast member - checks that will be voided when each cast member is eliminated from the show.

Almost immediately, The Entertainer gets to work strategizing. Threatened by Buddha's physical strength, The Entertainer urges his fellow I Love Money 2 cast members to eliminate Buddha "before he even gets to start" competing for the $250,000 grand prize.

Meanwhile, Tamara - one of the first girls eliminated from the first season of Rock of Love - chats with the other cast members, saying "I'm a little concerned about what I got myself into; I'm not sure this is cut out for me." But this remark puts Tamara's insecurities on display for the other cast members; a move that later comes back to haunt her.

The I Love Money 2 cast gets their first challenge in this episode; they're told to change into their bathing suits and they assemble around a small pool of mud. Deposited inside the mud pit are several hundred gold coins.

This first challenge is simple: each cast member must get into the mud pit to collect coins. Leilene - formerly known as "Smiley" on Flavor of Love - is the first to go and she is the only person to get no coins. Ultimately, it's 20-Pack and T-Weed who win this first I Love Money challenge.

The two I Love Money 2 cast members who collected the most gold coins - T-Weed and 20-Pack - are the first two team captains. In this first episode, the two team captains pick the two teams that will compete in the first few episodes of the series.

Notably, in subsequent episodes, the team captain of the winning team is given immunity during elimination and it's the winning captain who gets to decide which fellow I Love Money 2 cast member is sent home.

Each team is comprised of 9 cast members; the first person to be eliminated and sent home is the one cast member who is not picked.

The Elimination: Who is Sent Home on the First Episode of I Love Money 2?

In the hours leading up to the first elimination ceremony, many decide to make appeals to team captains T-Weed and 20-Pack, including Tamara who had previously made it very clear that she was terribly uncomfortable and was debating as to whether she should remain on the I Love Money 2 cast or go home. So Tamara approaches T-Weed, explaining that she does, in fact, want to stay on the show, despite her previous remarks.

The first I Love Money 2 elimination begins and it's T-Weed who gets the final pick; ultimately deciding who gets sent home.

In the end, it comes down to Tamara and Leilene and in an odd move, T-Weed decides that the two girls should arm wrestle, with the winner invited to join his team. Ultimately, Leilene wins the arm wrestling challenge and Tamara is sent home. But Tamara doesn't leave quietly - she takes the opportunity to voice her displeasure with the cast members and the crew.

"You're a bunch of liars, stupid idiots. The entire group here, you manipulated me, you lied to me, you have no hearts and no soul. You humiliated me in front of national television...You're a bunch of losers and I'm a winner," a tearful Tamara screams.

Oddly, when Tamara does decide to leave, she walks into a closet instead of out the front door - a move very similar to what occurred as she was voted off Rock of Love.
