On the June 18, 2009 episode of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, Episode 12, the celebrities received letters from home.
Janice, That is Not the Way to Win
The celebrities weren’t stunned by the announcement that Patti was a favorite and Janice was not. John believes Janice just gets on peoples’ nerves, and Stephen feels Patti is appealing to the everyday woman. Stephen added that Patti has shocked him by being a favorite. He finds it “unsettling and interesting.”
Janice isn’t just getting on the audience’s nerves. She is starting to burn her bridges with Holly. She snapped at Holly one morning about dishes, and Holly confronted Janice about being so rude. Janice was very appreciative of Holly coming to her, and she apologized to Holly. She went on to call Holly her angel and say she wanted to remain life-long friends, but in the confessional Janice made fun of hurting Holly’s feelings. She was not sorry.
Sanjaya, Patti and Lou Eat Pizza
The hosts told the celebrities they would now be competing as individuals. Torrie was all about the change because she no longer had to rely on others to eat, and Lou and Sanjaya felt this is where the game really begins.
The first individual food trial had the celebrities changing in to wrestling outfits. Stephen made the biggest transformation for the challenge. He only added a mask and a cape, but his personality because that of an extreme, egomaniac wrestler. The competition was for pizza and the goal was to find one star. The stars were located in a swamp pit that were filled with balls, fun noodles and crocodiles. Everyone went in at the same time, and there were only three stars available.
Janice thought she had something, but when she saw it was a crocodile she went running and crying. Sanjaya was the first to find a star. Stephen was having more fun terrorizing the others than find stars. Patti found the second star, and Lou found the third star.
First Celebrity Out
Sanjaya was the first called out, but he was safe. Next, Torrie was named safe. Holly was called out third and quickly informed she was going home. Janice was outraged and could not believe it.
My Celebrity Check List
The celebrities can’t help but talk about all their famous friends, and apparently the producers of the show have been keeping track of all the name dropping.
Janice led the pack with nine mentions in one paragraph, and she just kept going and going. Lou was another big offender. He talked about his poker games with Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
John and Stephen also named dropped, but no one could hold a candle to Janice and Lou.
John vs. Janice
When the food came for everyone Janice insisted the green vegetables in the bin were for her only – doctor’s orders. John told her the veggies were for everyone and Janice couldn’t have her own unless they came in a basket marked “Janice.”
John did a nice job cooking for everyone, but Janice refused to eat his food. Janice went on about the doctor’s orders, and she ended up crying in the confessional because, “John scares me.”
Second Celebrity Out
The second celebrity to leave came down to Janice, Patti and Stephen. Stephen was named safe first, and Janice ended up being sent home.
After the council Holly and Janice sat with the hosts to talk truth. Holly promised there is nothing going on with her and Sanjaya. Janice said camp was awful, and she named off all her illnesses.
