Top Four Chefs Compete to be Borgata Head Chef
Ben is relieved to have escaped elimination again the night before. Andrea is thankful that Chef Ramsay is a man of his word and kept her safe after a poor performance.
Fish Stew Challenge
The next morning Chef Ramsay presents the aspiring chefs with three dishes from his own restaurant. The chefs sample each dish and then are told that their challenge is to recreate the fish stew.
Each chef has his or her own idea of the ingredients that comprise the stew. Danny keeps tasting the stew to identify the next ingredient as he works to recreate the dish. When the challenge ends, Chef Ramsay tastes each chef's dish to determine which one is closest to his stew. Paula and Danny have created stews that taste almost identical to Chef Ramsay's dish. Ramsay choose Danny as the winner because Danny used fish stock instead of water.
Chef Ramsay and Danny take a ride in World War I-era open cockpit bi-planes while the other chefs clean the dining room and bar area of Hell's Kitchen. While they are polishing all of the crystal, Paula and Ben listen to Andrea complain about the punishment.
Hell's Kitchen Dinner Service
The next day, as the chefs begin to prep for dinner service, Chef Ramsay sends them back to the dorm. In the dorm, the chefs find a set of Gordon Ramsay signature Royal Doulton cookware for each of them. Chef Ramsay tells them that they deserve the cookware since they are his dream team. He also tells them that they will be starting dinner service with a clean slate, that none of their past performances will count in future decisions.
The chefs have the best service start this season but it quickly goes downhill. Ben and Paula both start off strong, but both quickly lose steam. Andrea, on the other hand, is having one of her best services of the season. She ruins her record service however, when she miscounts the wellingtons and Danny and Paula have to come to her rescue.
A Hell's Kitchen Engagement
One diner wants to propose to his girlfriend while dining in Hell's Kitchen. He gives the engagement ring to Jean Philippe and asks that it is brought out when they are served dessert. The ring is placed on the plate with dessert, and is taken to the table under cover. The surprised woman says yes, and Hell's Kitchen witnesses its first engagement.
One Chef is Eliminated
The chefs complete dinner service, but Chef Ramsay is not impressed with the way the chefs performed. He instructs the chefs to return to the dorm and think about who they want eliminated from Hell's Kitchen. Paula and Andrea believe Ben should go home, while Ben and Danny think Andrea deserves to leave.
Since the chefs cannot agree on one name, it is up to Chef Ramsay to make the final decision. He has Andrea and Ben tell him why they deserve to stay in Hell's Kitchen. Ramsay tells Ben to turn in his jacket and leave Hell's Kitchen.
