On the May 12, 2009 episode of The Biggest Loser, Seventh Season Finale, all of the eliminated contestants returned to show off their weight loss success. The show crowned a $250,000 winner, and an at-home player was awarded $100,000.

America’s Player

Mike was announced as the winner of the America’s Player vote. Ron was so excited for his son and felt America had chosen the right man. Mike wasn’t sure he could beat Helen or Tara, but he was ready to get on the scale.

Finding a New Player

The season wasn’t over, but there was already talk of next season on the finale. Two new women were featured, and the viewers were able to vote for which woman they wanted to see next season.

The first woman was Erinn. She was 239 pounds, and she said her weight recently contributed to losing a wonderful boyfriend because she was afraid of him touching her. She has tried everything and is looking at the show as a last chance.

The second woman was Amanda. She was 257 pounds. In her audition video she showed us the prom dress she bought but never wore because she was too embarrassed about the way it looked. Amanda said she feels like she can’t move on with her life because of the weight.

The Fight for $100,000

After all of the eliminated players had weighed in Jerry was awarded $100,000 for having the highest percentage of weight loss.

  • Aubrey – Current Weight: 194 lbs; Total Lost: 55 lbs

And the Winner Is…

The three finalists weighed in, and Helen won the $250,000 grand prize and the title the biggest loser. Helen’s current weight was 117 pounds. She lost a total of 140 pounds, for a total percentage weight loss of 54.47 percent.

Tara’s current weight was 130 pounds. She lost 155 pounds. Mike’s current weight was 181 pounds. He lost 207 pounds.

I thought Helen lost too much weight. I hope she puts a little back on going forward. She is right at the edge of being underweight according to the BMI.
