For the Love of Ray J – Episode 9 Recap
Danger, Cocktail and Unique Meet Ray J’s Parents, No One Sent Home
In the last episode of For the Love of Ray J, the final four: Chardonnay, Danger, Cocktail and Unique took a lie detector test. The girls came up with the questions to ask each other. It is revealed that Unique thinks she is a good liar; Danger has physically harmed a boyfriend, had a restraining order against her and had thoughts of killing people; Cocktail needs a man to complete her; and Chardonnay has no future plans beyond stripping.
Chardonnay won the challenge, and on their date, Ray J admits that he’s confused about their relationship; he says it might be “on a homie level.” Ray J sends Chardonnay home because of their friend love. The final three are Danger, Unique and Cocktail.
Time For the Ladies to Meet Ray J’s Grandma
Cocktail says she’s left with the prude (Unique) and the crazy lady (Danger), she goes to Ray J’s room to comfort him through cuddling. The cuddling is interrupted by Danger, who insists on speaking with Ray J to let him know that she feels like she’s not getting enough attention.
The next day, Ray J tells the girls, “I want y’all to meet the most important people in my life.” Then he tells them he’s bringing in his grandmother. The girls meet Ray J’s grandmother; his godsister, Tracy; and his cousin, Ryan. After some questions, Ray J asks what his grandma thinks and she tells him to make his own decision.
Danger, Cocktail and Unique Hang Out with Ray J’s Friends
After brunch, the girls meet Ray J’s friends in a pool hall. Danger discovers that she knows, and has gone out with, one of Ray J’s friends. She has also slept with another friend of his who was not at the pool hall. Danger argues with some of Ray’s friends over her past.
Cocktail says she could see herself hanging out with them in the future. Unique tells his friends her life/career story. When Ray J asks his friends what they think, they agree that Cocktail is the best. Then one of them tells Ray J that he has slept with Danger. His friends start chanting, “Danger, she smashed the homies!”
The Final Three Meet Ray J’s Parents
Ray J says, “Pops is cool, but Mom is no joke.” They have dinner with his parents, followed by a one-on-one questioning session with mom. When asked who they thought would be best, Ray J’s parents said none of them is right. His mom adds that Danger would be trouble.
Elimination on Episode Nine of For the Love of Ray J – No One Sent Home
At the elimination ceremony, Ray J tells the girls that he’s more confused than ever. He says, “As crazy as this may sound, I don’t think we done yet.” He says that he needs to get to know them more; he wants to meet their families. After the announcement, Danger begins fidgeting and leaves the room saying she’s sick and needs to go to the hospital.
All three girls remain on For the Love of Ray J after the surprising non-elimination.
