Flipping Out - Breaking Up Is Hard To DoJeff Lewis Delves Deep Into The Motives Of Clients and Colleagues
Bravo TV's Flipping Out - Episode 7 (September 30, 2009) took viewers on an emotional rollercoaster, featuring tense scenes with comedian Brad Sherwood and his wife.
Jeff Meets His MatchBrad Sherwood is recognizable as one of the gifted regular comedians on Whose Line Is It, Anyway?. A pleasant addition to the show a few weeks back and an encouraging business prospect for Jeff Lewis, Brad and his wife Seana appeared eccentric and humorous - if slightly challenging. This week it was clear that they'd become uber-demanding and ridiculous, as they presented Jeff with a tray of wiring and packaging tidbits gleaned when walking their property, allegedly the refuse of Jeff's contractor. After numerous meetings with the Sherwoods to discuss remodeling of the home interior, the only work that had been assigned to Jeff was outdoor lighting and sprinklers. Contemplating a significant loss of time and money, Jeff met with the Sherwoods and suggested they work with someone else on these tasks, yet making himself available for consultation. Jokingly, Jeff told the Sherwoods that he was not "breaking up" with them, he "just wanted to see other people". Well said, Jeff Lewis. Back To Square OneAfter the Sherwood snafu, Jeff decided to invest in a few final tweaks at Valley Oak, perfecting it for sale. Finalizing the process and involving the entire staff, cleaning and staging was finished. The open house for realtors appeared promising and the house was opened for business. Jeff and Jenni were committed to other things offsite immediately after the open house was launched. Calling in to the Valley Oak staff several hours later, the two were disappointed to learn that only a meager few realtors had shown up to what Jeff had thought would be a large turnout. Jenni would later indicate this as a "nightmare". Dealing with those closer to his heart proved much more difficult for Jeff Lewis. After weeks of concern and suspicion, Jeff unveiled evidence of Ryan's self-promotion in a magazine spread that highlighted Lewis's Valley Oak home. Hardly any mention was made of Jeff's work on the project, and the design credit was given almost solely to Ryan, even though the furnishings all belonged to Jeff, as well as the securing of the property in the first place. After much thought and inner turmoil, Jeff opted to sit down with Ryan to discuss his suspicions and findings. After a somewhat heated conversation, Ryan pleaded innocent to the charges leveled by Jeff Lewis. At that point, Ryan stated to Jeff that if he didn't believe or trust Ryan, Jeff should have nothing to do with him going forward, and cut him out of his life altogether. Sadness and pain was written all over Lewis's face as he, after a long pause, wished Ryan good luck with his life. Tune in to Flipping Out on Bravo TV Wednesdays at 10/9 Central.
