On the April 28, 2009 episode of The Biggest Loser the contestants were given the chance to train their trainers. They were also asked to carry the weight they thought they had said goodbye to one last time.

The Aftermath

After learning about Kristin’s elimination Bob was convinced Ron played a huge part in sending her home. He was shocked to see her go, but Ron claimed he had nothing to do with the decision. Also, Filipe began to feel alone without Kristin and that he really can’t trust anyone.

A Walk Down Memory Lane

The contestants were shown videos from their first few days on campus. The contestants were shocked by how much their bodies had changed, but they all agreed that it isn’t just their bodies that are different, they are now different people.

It was particularly special for Mike because he saw himself talking about his goal to complete a 5K and was happy to know that he can complete a 5K without any problems when he goes home.

After their walk down memory lane the contestants were told that this would be their last week on campus.

Goal Outfits

Tara and Helen were talking about their goal outfits, and Helen convinced Tara to try her goal dress on. The dress fit. It actually looked a little big. Helen tried on her size eight jeans and biker jacket, and she couldn’t get over how small her legs looked.

The women showed the men their new looks, and Mike decided to try on his goal outfit – a jacket and a pair of jeans. The outfit fit perfectly, and Ron was so proud to see his son strut around with confidence.

Dropping the Weight One More Time

The contestants’ last challenge mirrored their first challenge. They had to climb sixteen dirt hills, one for each week they had been on the ranch. They each started out with the amount of weight they have lost, and at each hill they were told to drop the amount of weight they lost that week.

Tara struggled a lot in the beginning. She was surprised because she had carried that weight her whole life. Unlike Tara, Mike and Filipe had no problem and took off. They were miles ahead of the rest of the group for most of the race.

Eventually, Tara caught up and at some point she passed Mike and Filipe. When she tossed her final weight loss over the week sixteen hill, she broke in to tears. Mike soon followed her over the hill, and Filipe, Helen and Ron crossed the line some time later.

Tara was given the choice of $10,000 or a one-pound advantage as a prize but didn’t reveal her choice at the time. Whatever she didn’t choose would automatically go to Mike for coming in second.

The Weigh In

At the weigh in Tara announced she would be taking the one-pound advantage, which left the $10,000 with Mike.

Ron lost nine pounds, Filipe lost 10 pounds and Helen lost seven pounds. Mike lost 11 pounds and Tara lost eight pounds. Based on these weights, Ron and Filipe were up for elimination.

The Elimination

The elimination really came down to Helen’s and Tara’s votes, and Filipe was eliminated.

After Filipe left the contestants were told that they are going home for 30 days but will have to return and weigh in one more time before the finale.
