There were suppose to be six women competing for Jason's heart in this episode, but he cut that number to five because he said he didn't see "a forever" with the others.

In this episode, the women told they would be going to Seattle to visit Jason Mesnick in his hometown. "My favorite thing in Seattle is Ty," said Jason.

Off to Seattle

Melissa, a sales representative, was offered the first date in Seattle. Jason told her he would be back at 7:30 that night to pick her up to "hit the town in style." Jason said he planned to take Melissa to see the Space Needle, then on a romantic dinner, and end it with a helicopter ride above the town. The date as described by Jason never happened. While getting ready to go out, Jason's son, Ty, told him he did not want his daddy to leave. Back at the hotel, Melissa thought Jason stood her up. Eventually Jason called, asking Melissa to come to his house for a casual date to hang out.

Melissa Goes to Jason's House and Sees Ty

When Melissa arrived, the single-father was upstairs tucking his son into bed. Melissa waited for him downstairs. When Jason finally greeted her, he told Melissa he was not ready to introduce Ty to any of the women yet. He did say she could peek in on him as he was sleeping and see what he looked like. That's exactly what Melissa did. The date continued downstairs where Melissa and Jason shared conversation and kisses.

One Date Down, Two More to Go

The following morning, Naomi found out she was going to go on a one-on-one date with Jason. That meant Medical Marketer Stephanie, Interior Designer Jillian, and Department Store Buyer Molly were going on a group date with Jason. The group date started aboard a ferry where the women got to see Seattle's skyline. Once they disembarked, Jason took the women to KISS-FM, a Seattle radio station where Jason talked about being "The Bachelor." During the radio interview, Jason said his favorite date so far was the date he shared with Stephanie and her daughter. He also said Molly was the best kisser.

The Last One-on-One Date

While Stephanie, Jillian, and Molly were on their date with Jason, Naomi learned she was going to be going on the second one-on-one date. On their date, the two boarded a seaplane and toured Seattle. Once they landed, they went rock climbing. "This is by far the best date ever," exclaimed Naomi. The two settled down in front of a fire and talked about Naomi's parents and how they separated and her desire to adopt. The ended their date with a kiss.

Surprise!

While the women were lounging at the hotel waiting for the rose ceremony, Jason surprised them with an unexpected visit. Explaining that he got little sleep the night before, Jason said he had to talk to Jillian because he thought she was the one who had the potential of breaking his heart. Jillian told Jason she was having a hard time opening up. "I hope he realizes how I feel about him," she later admitted.

Five Women, Four Roses

At the beginning of the rose ceremony, Jason said he was having a hard time deciding who he should send home. He ended up offering Jillian, Melissa, Molly, and Naomi roses, but didn't give one to Stephanie. In front of everyone, Jason told Stephanie she was the most amazing person he's ever met.

In next week's episode, all four women take Jason to their hometowns.
