Drew Eliminated – Japanese Game Show

I Survived a Japanese Game Show, 205

The players play soccer and golf, Majide style; Cathy once again proves to be a lucky charm; A romance dies

On the July 15, 2009 episode of I Survived a Japanese Game Show, 205, Cathy was traded back to the Green Tigers. Also, Jamie and Drew continued to get close. During this episode we even saw the pair cuddling in bed. Dan and Justin are very worried that the pair coupling off will threaten their team mojo because they are constantly isolating themselves from the team.

Beer Goggles On, Please

The first challenge seemed simple, at first. All the players had to do was kick a soccer ball in to a net. Unfortunately for the players, the game was made more difficult by the addition of beer goggles. Before the game started the Red Robots were forced to give up one player to even out the teams. Cathy volunteered to move because of Jamie and Drew’s relationship. The Green Tigers couldn’t believe the Red Robots would give up Cathy because they started winning when they got Cathy.

It was so funny to watch the players try to kick the ball. They thought they were so close, but in reality they were no where near a ball. The Green Tigers fared a lot better than the Red Robots. Jamie was walking so slow to the ball, and Justin took forever to figure out where the ball was.

The final score was Green Tigers 5 and Red Robots 3.

Green Tigers Comeback

The second challenge was a golf game. The players had to hit giant golf balls off of human tees on to sticky turf while the opposing team trekked through the turf trying to collect as many of the balls as possible. The team with the most balls still on the turf would win the game. The winning team’s advantage was that one of the losing team’s members had to wear shackles. The team chose Dan.

As long as the opposing team stayed on their knees they were OK. Some of the players got stuck when they put their hands down, and at one point someone’s whole body was stuck to the floor. The Green Tigers had a great strategy of swatting the balls away at first then throwing out the ones that were on the ground.

The Green Tigers won the game, and their reward was a trip to a famous sake and beef company. The Red Robots punishment had them harvesting seaweed early the next morning.

Jamie versus Drew

Dan and Justin wanted Jamie and Drew to compete in the elimination challenge because they felt if they were left alone with the couple they would be a third wheel. Jamie volunteered herself, but she and Drew were upset that Dan, who didn’t score any goals, wasn’t up for elimination. Because the Red Robots were deadlocked in their decision the Green Tigers were brought out to make the decision.

The object of the elimination challenge was to detach as many squid heads from the squids hanging above the player as possible in two minutes. To make the game more difficult, the players had nylons over their heads and a bungee cord attached to their backs.

This was probably the worst elimination challenge yet because the players had to pull off real, raw squid heads. The players had no problem getting in there, and the whole race was very close, but Jamie beat Drew by one squid head. Jamie was devastated to lose her partner, but the rest of the group was ecstatic to lose Drew.
