The June 16, 2009 episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Finale, was the first season finale for the show. The episode had an explosive ending thanks to Danielle’s relentless efforts to discover who revealed “the book.”
Teresa’s Party Plans
Teresa invited Dina over to her new mansion to show her around and tell her about her upcoming housewarming party. She told Dina she wanted to invite Danielle, and Danielle was less than pleased. She said she doesn’t understand why the women need to socialize with Danielle. Teresa said she thought it would be nice to have her.
Danielle Admits It
Danielle decided it was time to tell her daughters about the book since it had been circulating and the news was out. Her daughter said she trusts her above anyone else, and she explained to them that she did some things in her life that she isn’t proud of.
Danielle finally admitted to viewers that she was a stripper, she was arrested and she did change her name.
Ashley Gets Her Car
Jacqueline’s parents visited, and she decided to ask them for advice on Ashley’s car. She explained that Ashley was doing better in school but her attitude was still out of control at times. Her parents suggested she show Ashley the car but keep the keys.
Later, Ashley did finally get to see her car, although she quickly learned it was not really her car. Ashley was excited anyways. Jacqueline told Ashley the car is an incentive so that she will continue to do as well as she is currently doing.
Jacqueline Reveals the Truth
At Teresa’s dinner party things were less than civil. Things were doing OK at first, but Danielle completely ruined the mood by putting a copy of “the book” on the table. Everyone looked shocked and tried to ignore it for as long as possible.
Danielle began the conversation, saying she brought the book to clear the air. She admitted that there was some truth to the book but most of it was lies. Dina tried to defend herself because she knew Danielle was blaming her, but Caroline told her to wait her turn.
After the children were sent out of the room things got really heated. Danielle said she was not upset people had her investigated, she was upset people made the book public. Caroline finally told the group she revealed the book. Everyone went silent, but Danielle continued to insist it was Dina. Eventually, Dina turned to Jacqueline, who was sitting so quietly, to tell everyone what really happened. Jacqueline quickly blurted out that Caroline and Dina had brought the book to the Brownstone. Jacqueline and Dina got in to a huge argument over the fact that Jacqueline stood up for Danielle, but Jacqueline felt she did the right thing.
Teresa stepped in to help clear the air, but Danielle, tired of repeating herself, rudely asked Teresa if she was paying attention. Teresa was very disrespected, and she completely freaked out. She started screaming, most of which no one could understand, and almost flipped a table. Her husband had to restrain her and Jacqueline's husband finally ended the conversation.
