Daniel Baldwin Eliminated from I'm a Celebrity
I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, Episode 8

On the June 11, 2009 episode of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, Episode 8, three celebrities were given the chance to call home and another celebrity was voted out of Costa Rica.
Granola Gate
Granola gate is still happening. Patti found the granola wrapper outside the confessional. Stephen believed Janice was the thief based on her previous behavior at camp. Daniel couldn’t help but hound her about it, and Janice was obviously frustrated by he and Stephen’s heckling.
Shop Til You Drop
The celebrities had to nominate two people to participate in the food challenge. The men chose Sanjaya, and he was feeling lucky because he had a dream about a supermarket the pervious night. The women chose Holly.
The participants had to travel across a thin cable, collecting grocery items along the way. The setup was frightening, but Sanjaya appeared to have no fear. Holly’s biggest obstacle was the placement of the items. She felt they were too far from her and reaching for the items became exhausting. Holly decided to stop grabbing for things because she didn’t want to risk falling and being disqualified.
Sanjaya won a Mexican meal for the men.
Patti Breaks Down Again
The celebrities decided to share the story of “their big break.” Janice’s story was a novel. The other celebrities looked very bored, but Janice just kept talking.
Holly told a very heartwarming story about how she came to live in Los Angeles. Apparently, she was supposed to move in with her brother, but he died in Iraq. Heidi then pulled her out to L.A. for a change.
Patti broke down over the question because it brought up a lot of feelings. Lou went to comfort her when she walked away. Patti feels that everything she and her husband have worked hard for has been destroyed recently. Janice went to talk to her, but Patti didn’t want to talk. Janice was offended that Patti didn’t let her speak, but she gave her a hug anyways.
Sanjaya + Holly
Janice thinks that love may be in the air. Sanjaya and Holly have been spending a lot of time together, and Janice said Holly told her she thinks Sanjaya is the sexiest man in the world. Holly thinks Sanjaya is sensitive, sweet and talented. Sanjaya thinks Holly is real.
Patti, Lou and Daniel Call Home
Patti was the first to call home. She was thrilled to see her family via Skype, and she was happy to see everyone was doing OK.
Daniel has a pregnant wife and young daughter at home. His wife showed off “the bump” he is missing, and he said she is driving him to win.
Lou also got to see his wife and daughter. He was happy to hear that his daughter was saying “hi” and giving kisses to his picture everyday.
Elimination
Before elimination the celebrities shared their favorite moments thus far.
John said he appreciated how different Holly was than they expected her to be. Sanjaya broke down to tears telling Lou how much he has been like a father figure to him.
The elimination came down to Patti, John and Daniel. The hosts then announced that Daniel would be going home. Stephen looked the most devastated, of course, and Janice couldn’t stop yelling to Perez Hilton. No clue what that was about.
