Savoring their first victory last week, the ladies of Empresario sip champagne in the war room. When Hydra returns, Omarosa attacks Piers Morgan, first verbally and then by pouring her glass of champagne over his head.
Stephen Baldwin, rather than joining Hydra in the war room, asks to speak with Donald Trump. He tells Trump that, like Vinnie Pastore, he can't work with Piers Morgan and would like to resign from the show. Trump does not accept his resignation and instead assigns him to Empresario. Omarosa tells Trump that Empresario does not want him on the team, and Trump reminds her that he’s the boss and they will abide by his wishes.
The teams meet with Vera Wang and Serta Mattress President Bob Sherman to discuss their next challenge. They are to create a living window using mime actors on a major New York street. They’ll be judged on creativity, brand imaging, and entertainment value.
Omarosa immediately volunteers to be project manager for Empresario. She assigns Nely Galán to be in charge of marketing and accounting, Marilu Henner to head up construction, and Carol Alt to act as the window model. Baldwin has a previous engagement and won’t be able to work on the challenge until the very end.
Omarosa does a quick Internet check to see what Wang is all about and sees her popularity as a wedding dress designer. She then decides on the theme “The Perfect Marriage” for Empresario’s window.
Lennox Lewis leads Team Hydra. In previous weeks he has been a great team player, but shows a completely different side of himself as leader. He won’t make a decision on his own without insisting the entire team vote, and he makes each member raise his hand before speaking.
Trace Adkins comes up with the tagline, “The World’s Greatest Romance Deserves the World’s Best Mattress” using Cleopatra and Mark Antony as inspiration.
Omarosa immediately begins targeting Henner’s approach as being scatterbrained. She pulls Galán aside and asks her “what planet” Henner is operating from in an effort to put Galán on the attack as well.
Meanwhile, Baldwin comes back from his speaking engagement and tries to catch up with the Empresario concept. He offers many ideas, saying he wants to understand their approach but “pepper it with a little Stevie B” also. Omarosa quickly shoots him down, and tells him he’s been assigned as a mime model with Alt.
Wang arrives to judge Empresario’s window, which is done beautifully in a wedding night theme. Bridesmaids throw flower petals as Alt and Baldwin play a married couple just about to spend their first night as man and wife. The look is clean, uncluttered, and fresh. Wang seems pleased.
Hydra is running late but gets their window together at the last minute. Their window is colorful and cluttered, with actors playing Cleopatra and Mark Antony on the bed and a big screen TV in the corner. Wang admitted earlier in the show that she spends a lot of time on her bed reading and watching TV, and she’s appreciative of Hydra’s efforts to reflect that in the window.
Later, in the boardroom, Trump revealed that while Empresario’s window was more attractive, Hydra’s conveyed the creativity and entertainment value Wang was looking for. Hydra wins the challenge.
Omarosa tries to deflect blame for the concept of the window, but Donald Trump, Jr. reminds her that she initially said she came up with the idea. She stalls when asked whom to bring back with her into the boardroom, and at first she says Baldwin. Trump reminds her Baldwin was away at a previous engagement until the end of the challenge, so he didn’t have anything to do with the concept.
Omarosa then asks to have her entire team in with her for the boardroom firing, and Trump insists she bring two people back with her as instructed. She chooses Henner and Galán. Trump reminds Galán that she dodged a firing the week that Simmons refused to call her back in, and she tells Trumps that was in the past.
Omarosa tries to deflect blame to Henner, stating she was a weak link when it came to the challenge. Trump, however, focuses on Galán, saying that as a television producer she should have aced this challenge. Galán is fired. Trump then adds, “Get the hell out of here” and shoos the three of them away.
As they leave the boardroom, Trump tells a departing Omarosa that she needs to step up because “Piers is killing you, and I’m surprised to see it.”
Next week: The teams set up a horse and carriage business in Central Park.
