Big Brother Episode 27 Recap from September 8th Telecast

In quite an interesting episode of Big Brother 11, there was more than a power of veto ready to be displayed, and the houseguests were in for a surprise.

Big Brother 11 episode 27 was coming off of the Sunday show where new head of household Natalie had nominated both Kevin and Michele for eviction from the Big Brother house. Her strategy was to try and seem like she was working against Kevin, and though Kevin didn’t want to be nominated, she nominated him anyways. Now with Michele and Kevin on the block, it made the upcoming power of veto competition even more important, because Kevin was now at risk of going home soon.

As the episode began to unfold, it was more lies from Natalie as she tried to convince Jordan that she didn’t want to support Kevin, and Kevin in turn perpetuated the lie by telling Jordan and Michele that he was surprised that he was put on the block, even though she had told him before hand. In between the drama being shown on CBS, Julie Chen filled in details about the importance of the power of veto competition, and stated that it would decide who would have the final vote this week in the house.

The Big Brother Power of Veto Competition

This week’s power of veto competition had to be played with only Michele, Kevin, and Jordan, as Natalie had chosen to open Pandora’s Box on the last episode, electing to give up her right to play in order to see her boyfriend. The object of this week’s competition was to match up events that took place in the house as well as achievements that the houseguests had during their stay. There were two lists, and the competitors had to place the houseguests name cards in between the spots of the list that applied to them. An example was that the left side said 2nd evicted and the right side said 4th HOH, so the competitors had to find the combination of houseguests that fit those slots.

Though Kevin and Michele were off and running, Jordan had immediate problems trying to figure out how to even play the game. The game progressed with Michele and Kevin looking like they could both win it, but in the end Kevin was able to finish it correctly first, and with that Kevin won the power of veto competition. This then gave Kevin the power to vote to evict either Jordan or Michele from the Big Brother house. Seeing that Kevin won, Natalie brought out alcohol to celebrate with him, pretty much showing that she was lying multiple times, both about being 18 in the house, and also about not liking Kevin anymore.

The Big Brother Veto Ceremony

As the winner of the power of veto competition, Kevin was given the choice of what to do in the power of veto ceremony. He chose to use the power of veto on himself, and Jordan was placed on the block as the newest nominee. They both stated their cases, and Kevin made his vote for whom to evict from the Big Brother house. Kevin voted to evict Michele.

The Big Brother Head of Household Competition Part 1

The final Big Brother head of household competition began with an extended endurance challenge that (of course) wasn’t finished during the CBS show. Now fans will just have to wait, and learn who won this part on the Thursday episode of Big Brother 11.
