The third episode of Big Brother 11 led to a lot of in-fighting, and a veto ceremony decision that many viewers of the show did not see coming.
After the nomination ceremony where Jessie put up Chima and Lydia, the house was in a bit of a shock, and that boiled over to the beginning of Big Brother episode 3. Remember before that Chima let herself be put on the block in order to serve as a pawn, and the Brains went into the day thinking that they were still in an alliance with the Athletes. Big Brother 11 was finally delving into the drama that CBS prides itself on. Big Brother Revelations Jeff, who is an Athlete himself, was in shock about what his team had done, and as Big Brother 11 Episode Three got started, it was clear that the most upset person was Lydia. Lydia felt that she was placed on the block simply because of her appearance, and it sent her to tears right as the episode began. Jeff, Kevin, and Jordan all tried to console her, assuring her that they would be voting to keep her around. All of this took place with Chima right outside the door. Going back to her Brains team, Chima relayed that she was frustrated at not being consoled herself. Big Brother 11 Drama With everyone in the house suddenly on edge, Jessie and Russell realized that they didn’t even have their own clique under control. It showed that the teams were already divided, and the decision was made to bring Laura (from the Popular clique) on to their group before she would get convinced to be on the other side. Everyone in the house began scrambling to figure out which people were on their side, and while the Athlete clique seemed to be running things, the other half of the house started gossiping amongst themselves. All of the Big Brother 11 drama is definitely going to lead to an interesting vote on Big Brother episode 4. Big Brother Veto Competition Six people were allowed the chance to play in the first Big Brother 11 veto competition, which consisted of Jessie (as head of household), the two nominees (Lydia and Chima) and three randomly drawn people. Jessie drew Russell to join the veto competition, Chima got her choice and picked Natalie, and Lydia chose Jeff. The fact that Chima chose someone not on her clique (Ronnie or Michelle) was shocking to nearly everyone in the house. The Big Brother veto competition was set up with all six people competing at the same time, with the house guests trying to retrieve letters from a massive face constructed on the outside grounds. The face had many spots, pimples, and boils that had to be popped in order to find the letters. The winner was set to be the house guest who could spell the longest word with the letters that they were able to retrieve. Each of the participants had their own idea on how to get the words, and suffice it to say, the challenge was very gross. The veto competition quickly became a battle to see who could misspell their word the worst. Natalie spelled “last”, Russell spelled “shotgun”, and the other four all spelled their words wrong, leaving Russell as the winner with only seven letters, and a really badly played veto competition by the house. Post Veto Competition DramaRussell decided it was time to go on the attack, and he began going after Jeff for the word he misspelled in the competition. Russell began talking a lot of trash about spelling shotgun correctly, and the two houseguests began yelling at each other in the backyard. It immediately became clear that Russell and Jeff were not going to get along, and before it was over teammates Natalie and Jeff started arguing as well. There was a lot of division in the Athletes clique, and it became the theme of the week in the Big Brother house. Big Brother Veto Ceremony After a lot of posturing, and Lydia trying to convince Russell and Jessie to take her off the block, the veto ceremony finally came along with Russell holding the right to veto either of the head of household’s nominations. Leading up to it, Russell had the idea of putting Braden up, and told Ronnie, who turned around and told Braden. Caught in the middle, Ronnie lied about telling Braden anything, but Russell didn’t believe him. At the veto ceremony, Russell decided to use the power of veto on Lydia. As a result, Jessie put Braden on the block in her place. Big Brother Schedule / Big Brother Elimination The next CBS episode of Big Brother is scheduled for 8 P.M. on Thursday, where one of the two nominees will be voted out of the Big Brother house.
