As the girls anticipate a possible trip abroad, Fatima confesses that she does not have the proper travel documentation to allow her to leave the country and therefore may be disqualified from the competition.
Paulina Porizkova drops in on the girls and gives them a few lessons in the proper way to showcase themselves when attending and important or posh event.
While chopping an onion, Lauren slices her thumb and is taken to the hospital. She returns a while later with her thumb bandaged. ANTM’s producer calls Fatima to discuss her situation and tells her that he’s worried that she won’t receive her travel documents in time.
A package arrives, filled with lemons, limes and a card informing the girls that they are invited to a green carpet event, hosted by 100% All-Natural 7-Up. In addition, the girls will be wearing dresses by designer, Jay Godfrey.
At the event, the girls are interviewed by The Insider's Lara Spencer and then have the opportunity to mingle with the other guests. Jay Godfrey and Lara evaluate the girls on the way they present themselves, as well as how well they work their dresses.
Jay Godfrey says that Anya is charming and knows how to sell a dress, while Lara tells Anya that she is poised and refined. Lara is disappointed that Dominique didn’t remember the designers name and that Lauren cursed during her interview. Anya wins the challenge and participates in a photo advertisement for 7-Up. She also receives a check for $10,000.
Back at the loft, Fatima receives word that her lawyer scheduled an appointment at the consulate for the next morning. Tyra Mail leaves the girls excited, as it announces that they are to pack their bags.
The girls arrive at the airport early the next day and find Jay Manuel waiting on the steps of a private plane. He informs them that their luggage and the plane will be used as props for this week’s photoshoot. Fatima tells Jay that she has an appointment at the consulate and might not make it back in time. The cold weather affects the girls, but most of them pull it together. Jay feels that Stacy-Ann, Dominique and Whitney pose too much and is impressed by Anya.
After the photoshoot, the ladies pick up the rest of their luggage in a nearby airport hanger and are surprised to find the panel of judges waiting. Fatima finally arrives, with her travel documents, and explains the situation to the panel. Tyra tells Fatima that girls generally go home for not participating in the photoshoot and will have to base her and the other judges’ decision on her body of work up to this point. Tyra then tells the girls that directly after the deliberation, they are all going abroad, but won’t disclose the location.
Nigel says that Katarzyna’s shot looks like a vintage airline photo, while he tells Stacy-Ann that her picture looks a little over the top. Jay feels that Whitney looks too pageantry and Nigel says that Dominique nailed her photo. The judges are unanimous in saying that Anya stole the show.
Fatima and Stacy-Ann land themselves in the bottom two this week. Tyra tells Stacy-Ann that she’s a beautiful girl, but the judges feel that she has plateaued and tells Fatima that she is disappointed that she didn’t have her travel documents in order beforehand. Unfortunately for Stacy-Ann, Fatima’s portfolio is more promising and Stacy-Ann is the one to leave the competition this week.
The ANTM team and the six remaining girls are off to beautiful Rome!
