ANTM Names a Winner After the Final Runway Show

This season of America’s Next Top Model has come down to the final three contestants. On last week’s episode of this hit CW reality show, Celia was sent home, leaving Aminat, Teyona, and Allison to compete for the title. Two girls will be sent home in the season finale, after a Cover Girl commercial and photo shoot and a final runway performance. ANTM ends its Brazilian adventure with style.
Final Three Cover Girl Commercial
A new Tyra Mail arrives with a set of scripts for the final Cover Girl commercial. The winning model will receive a Cover Girl contract worth $100,000 so this challenge is one of the most important. They will also be taking a photograph that will run as a print ad and be displayed in Walmart stores. Cycle 11 winner Mckey arrives and shows the girls the lipstick they will be selling.
Elyssa Starkman, a Cover Girl representative, joins artistic director Jay Manuel to watch the girls perform. Aminat goes first and has the voice, but forgets to use her eyes. Though she had practiced her script carefully, Allison let the pressure get to her and forgot the lines on the first take. Teyona’s nerves also hit her during the photo shoot. Teyona stumbled through her words until she began to cry.
Judge’s Panel and Elimination
The last two challenges come quickly in the season finale. The models head to the judging room to meet with Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker, J. Alexander, and Paulina Porizkova. Guest judge Amir Slama is the designer for Rosa Cha, the line the models will be showing in the final runway show. Allison’s name is called first because of a stunning photo. Aminat and Teyona step forward to find out the final decision. Teyona’s strong photograph saved her and Aminat is sent home. The two finalists head straight to their Seventeen Magazine cover try. The winner’s photograph from this shoot will appear on the cover.
Final Runway Show for Rosa Cha
Allison and Teyona arrive for hair and makeup at their final runway show, which Mckey will also walk in. Many top names in the fashion community arrive to watch the show. The models will stomp down the runway with a Brazilian flair, wearing swimsuits. The first walk is strong and sexy. During the second pass down the runway, the girls samba dance. For the finale, the models grease up for an energetic craw down the runway that Allison describes as a “live art installation.”
America’s Next Top Model is Chosen
Allison and Teyona clean up and head to the final judge’s panel in Rosa Cha bikinis. The judges were impressed with Allison, who they did not expect to perform as well during the final shoot. Though Teyona seemed robotic at times, she performed like a seasoned model. After comparing images from many of the photo shoots, the judges deliberate. Their critiques of the models were very close, making it a difficult decision. Teyona had strong photos since the beginning, while Allison made an amazing transformation. Tyra declares that America’s Next Top Model is Teyona. She and Tyra head off to a photo shoot with Nigel Barker.
