Take Me To the Jungle - Tyra Banks Photographs the Contestants

Five models became four in last week’s episode of the CW’s hit reality series, America’s Next Top Model. Teyona, Allison, Aminat and Celia all succeeded on the go see challenge and photo shoot with Nigel Barker. Teyona feels confident about her number one photo and ability to book jobs. She knows the other girls find her to be a threat.
Learning to Samba with Paulina Porizkova
The models arrive at a dance hall to discover samba dancers as well as judge Paulina Porizkova. She introduces their samba instructor, Juliene Leite. They begin by learning the basic steps although many of the girls have trouble once they need to learn to turn. Paulina asks them to pretend she was the photographer and dance as they though are in a photo shoot. After Celia dances, Paulina tells her that she wants it too much and desperation is not sexy. After the first day, Aminat is the girl to beat at samba.
Paulina meets the models on a rooftop the following day, for a samba challenge. She is dancing with Eduardo Ramos, though she only learned to dance the day before. Each girl dances with the goal of looking like they are doing. Allison keeps looking down. Celia relaxes and fakes it like she knows the dance. Aminat looks great and has chemistry with her partner. Teyona looked uncomfortable and looked down. Celia wins the challenge and chooses Allison to share the prize of jewelry.
Photo Shoot in the Jungle with Tyra Banks
Makeup artists Sutan and Christian Marc sneak into the models’ Brazilian apartment in the morning and jump into bed with them. They start hair and makeup but everyone has to get on the bus before they are finished. After driving for two hours into the jungle, they come across a broken down jeep. Tyra Banks jumps out at the models and tells them she is the photographer for the day. Jay Manuel meets them and tells them they are going to be styled as birds in the nest, with feathers and bright makeup.
Allison is up first and is styled as an owl. Because Tyra is so assertive and offers helpful tips, Allison is more relaxed than on previous photo shoots. Aminat was the second model up and had great body movements. Jay gave good advice about moving the muscles in her face. Celia went third and focused on relaxing her face and body. Teyona faces challenges with her shoot because it is getting dark and she is wearing too much clothing for Tyra’s taste.
Judge’s Panel and Elimination
Tyra Banks, Nigel Barker, Paulina Porizkova and J. Alexander and joined by guest judge Ann Shoket, the editor-in-chief of Seventeen Magazine. Though she has a ton of hair and makeup, Allison’s eyes still shine through. Teyona had a beautiful picture, but the judges know she could do better. Celia has a very strong image and Tyra enjoyed shooting her. Aminat’s photograph is last and is much better than her previous images.
During deliberations, they have trouble because all four girls have good photographs this week. Allison’s photo is chosen as the best one this week. Teyona is chosen as the runner up, much to her surprise. Aminat and Celia fall to the bottom, though Tyra enjoyed shooting them both. She believes they are both strong from the neck down but have trouble delivering a good face. Aminat’s photo is revealed and Celia is sent home.
