Full Episode Summary of The Amazing Race Season Fourteen in Siberia

In last week's episode of The Amazing Race, teams traveled to Romania where they performed gymnastics before ending at the pit-stop in Transylvania. Mel & Mike narrowly beat Kris & Amanda to the finish line and arrived first, while Victor & Tammy faced mechanical issues mid-flight and got lost in the mountains, dropping from first place to eighth. Brad & Victoria made a risky decision to board a flight connecting in Amsterdam, and heavy fog left them stranded for a last place finish and the husband/wife team was eliminated. Eight teams remain as teams travel from Romania to Siberia. Which team was eliminated this week?
Amazing Race Teams Fly from Transylvania to Russian City of Krasnoyarsk in Siberia
Departing the pit stop in Transylvania, teams must fly through the Moscow airport before connecting to Krasnoyarsk, Russia. On route, Mark & Michael accidentally call the cell-phone of Cara & Jodie's taxi driver, who pretend to be agents for Lufthansa airlines. Christie & Jodie drive to an internet cafe where they research flight connection options. Using their backgrounds as flight attendants, they realize that several connecting flights will not have layovers long enough to make the earliest connection and book what they believe to be the best flight. This strategy works in their favor, as even though all eight teams have tickets for the same 8:55 flight to Krasnoyarsk, only Christie & Jodie, Kisha & Jen and Michael & Mark are able to board the connection flight in Russia, while the remaining five teams must wait at the Moscow airport.
Racers Must Stack Wood at the Road Block in Siberia and Encounter Blind U-Turn
Once in Siberia, teams must travel to the location pictured on the back of the Russian 10 ruble note, Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam on the Yenisey river. From there, racers receive their next clue directing them to the Church of St. Innokenty where they encounter a detour. Racers must choose between "Stack" or "Construct." In "Stack" teams must head to the Yenisey river bank and stack firewood. In "Construct" teams must head to a workshed and construct a pair of wooden shutters, then transport them to a nearby house which indicates it is in need of repair.
With a decent head start, the first three teams all decide to stack the firewood. Mark & Michael's woodstack falls down and also topples the demo stack, at which point they decide to switch construct shutters. While they wandered the small Siberia town in search of a house needing repairs, Kisha & Jen and Jodie & Christie complete the task.
The final five teams arrive and alsp chose to stack the wood. Both Mike & Mel and Kris & Amanda's woodstacks fall and they head off in search of the construction workshop. Margie & Luke finish their stack depart fourth. Upon reaching the blind U-Turn, a new twist where teams may remain anonymous rather than revealing their identity, they choose to U-Turn Kris & Amanda in order to give Cara & Jaime more at the detour. Cara & Jaime depart in fifth place.
Mel & Mike and Kris & Amanda join Mark & Michael constructing shutters, while the three teams search hopelessly for the marked house. After Mel locates the house, the father/son team and stuntmen, having already constructed their shutters, finish the task leaving Kris & Amanda building their shutters on site. After finishing, they realize they have been U-turned and head back to finish stacking their firewood.
Teams Must Ride Bobsled at Bobrovy Log Park for Fourth Roadblock
After completing the detour, teams must travel to Bobrovy Log Park, a local amusement park, and ride the bobsled in under four minutes while looking for letters placed near the track. After completing the ride, racers must unscramble the letters to spell the name of the famous Russian playwright, Chekhov.
Kisha finishes the bodsled ride first, but only locates six of the seven letters giving Christie a chance to move ahead. Although Christie remembers all seven letters she has difficulty deciphering them and Kisha & Jen head to the pit-stop in first place. Victor arrives in third and immediatley recognizes the letters as spelling "Chekhov." Luke completes the task in fourth place but gets frustrated and initially cannot figure out the answer. After much encouragement from his mother, he too, eventually unscrambles the letters and he an his mother head to the pit stop.
Arriving in fifth, Jaime states that she "doesn't know any playwrights" before immediatley answering correctly on the first try. Both Mark & Michael and Mike & Mel finish quickly and join the others teams. In last place, Kris completes the roadblock while he and Amanda are determined to "just keep racing."
Fourth Pit Stop for The Amazing Race is the Theater of Musical Comedy
To reach the pit stop, teams must enter through the main entrance before meeting Phil at the mat inside the theater of musical comedy. Kisha & Jen, arriving at the theater first, have trouble finding the main entrance, and Christie & Jodie finish first. Kisha & Jen land at the mat minutes later in second. Victor & Tammy arrive third and Margie & Luke maintain their fourth place finish for the third time in the race. Jaime & Cara arrive fifth and Mike & Mel arrive in sixth.
Arriving at the entrance, Mark & Michael are 3000 rubles short to pay their taxi driver, and while they haggle over watches and jackets, Kris & Amanda are seen en route to the musical comedy theatre. Ultimately the taxi driver allows Mark & Michael to leave without paying him fully and they finish seventh. Unable to make up the time lost after being U-turned, Kris & Amanda arrive last and are eliminated from the race.
Next week, in Amazing Race 14 Episode 5, teams continue to face the bitter cold of the Siberia.
