Daunted by suspicion of slippery business tactics, Jeff is thrown off his game as he observes Ryan's prospering business - and takes joy in teaching Chloe unsavory terms.

Jeff Lewis is one of the quirkiest, anal-retentive, OCD-ridden reality personalities of our time. This season shows a somewhat softer, more endearing side of Jeff than the past. When introduced to Jeff, he is perceived as a sort of egotistical bastard, yet intriguing in audacity and wealth. This season is different.

Jenni endured a painful situation with her now ex-husband, Chris Elwood, last season when Chris was caught on video tape doing some less-than-honest tasks at the Lewis house. Told to stay away from Jeff's computer, Chris blatantly surfed Facebook and personal sites. Adding to Jeff's fury, Chris rifled through his personal financial papers on camera. When confronted with the evidence, Chris had no excuse for his behavior and was terminated on the spot. Jenni was devastated and the mistrust and internet issues ultimately ended up in Chris's decision to separate. Jenni's pain was felt by the viewers.

The tough, demanding Jeff Lewis became Jenni's strength and the wind beneath her wings. He openly demonstrated a softer side, stating that he would stand by her side, and wait for however long it would take for her to get back on her feet. It is apparent that this commitment has strengthened the relationship and this season, the two appear as a strong, united front. Of course the petty bickering continues, but this makes for great TV!

Jeff's Turn For Betrayal

Ryan Brown, Jeff's former business and personal partner, still remains a main contact and player in the industry operations. Jeff and Ryan have shared clients, business leads and referrals, but lately, Ryan seems to be keeping success to himself. This episode, Jeff neglected to return several phone calls from a very prominent "A-List" actress, prompting her to contact Ryan, who snatched up the bait immediately. Taking the opportunity to pay a visit to the Jeff Lewis office to gloat, Ryan opened up a wound. It was clear that Jeff felt betrayed and as if Ryan were hiding opportunities from Jeff, hoarding all possible business and income for himself. The jobs that have come to Lewis have been smaller jobs that require more work and flexibility in financing. It has been a difficult economy and consequently, Jeff has worn different hats. There is an air of jealously, hurt feelings, and outright animosity - which is inevitably going to carry into the next episode.

Oh Baby

Ryan and Jeff arrange for Ryan's daughter Chloe to spend some time with Jeff and Jenni. Jeff is very fond of Chloe, but has taken some liberties with her that Ryan has strongly opposed. The melancholy Jeff is quickly left behind for a much more mischievous, evil twin. Ignoring Ryan's instructions to not buy anything for Chloe, Jeff purchases a new pet fish for Chloe, which they name Teresa, after Ryan's housekeeper. Lewis proceeds to review lessons of the past: the ceremonial Girls Gone Wild lifting up of the shirt, asking Chloe what her favorite beverage was, to which she answered, "Chardonnay", and her intention to work at Hooters when she grows up. This scene was hilarious and irreverent - just the Jeff Lewis we know and love.

The tension continues next week. Tune in to Flipping Out Tuesdays on Bravo TV at 10/9 Central.
