On the fourth episode of the Southern Belles, Shea finally got her diamond ring, Sterling decided to end his relationship with Hadley, Julie went on a blind date, Emily cut her hair, and Kellie continued to work on her match making business.
Shea Got Engaged
Jeff, Shea’s boyfriend, met up with one of his friends to discuss his plans to propose to Shea. Jeff said he hadn’t always been the ideal boyfriend, and he wanted to change. He planned on proposing to Shea in the Outer Banks during the family vacation.
Shea had no idea that Jeff was going to propose. She had a talk with his sister, and asked if he was serious about being with her. Shea said she has to trust that Jeff has turned over a new leaf with cheating. Meanwhile, Jeff had a discussion with mom about proposing to Shea, and asked his mom how she has been able to sustain her marriage with his father. His mom said that people have to let each other change and grow with each other. Jeff took Shea down to the beach and got down one knee. Shea was stunned and satisfied with the diamond ring Jeff picked.
Emily’s First Assignment
Emily got her first assignment in Las Vegas which entailed covering a high profile event. She felt a lot of pressure, had a hard time with her lines, and was upset with the way she looked on camera. Emily decided to get rid of her small town look and entrusted a hairstylist to change her look. Emily cried when her hair was cut short and wished that she could take it back. When her work was over, she was grateful to return to Kentucky.
Julie’s Blind Date
Julie recently had a birthday that made her think about her life and things that she wanted to accomplish. She sat down to make a to-do list and included a blind date on her list. She contacted Kellie about setting her up on a blind date, and Kellie was thrilled. Julie’s blind date with Aaron went well, and she said that she would love to go on a second date with him.
Hadley’s Break Up
Hadley decided that her job as a personal assistant was leading nowhere, and she wanted to figure out what she was going to do with her life. She met up with Sterling after taking a break for a week expecting to work things out. He shocked her by telling her that they should break up. Sterling said that he wanted to find someone who would always be there and wouldn’t need space on a regular basis.
Kellie’s Match Making Business
Kellie continued to work on her match making business, Dating Sucks. It was her mission to find someone to date her mom. The first guy that she interviewed told her that he was still married and living in the same house as his wife. She immediately crossed him off the list. Kellie got a good vibe from a stranger and approached him. She asked him if he was single and if he would consider dating her mom. Her mom enjoyed her blind date and wanted to go on a second date.
