Brian McKnight Leads Team KOTU To a Victory, NBC
Brian McKnight squares off against Claudia Jordan in an attempt to get the men's team their first victory. One celebrity is voted off.

As the episode begins, Brande meets with the executive director of her charity, the California Police Youth Charities. She is excited to hand him a check for $166,680, as a result of her win from last week.

Donald Trump meets the contestants at Capitale, a glitzy event locale in New York. It is at this location that the teams will carry out their next challenge: to create a presentation about a new videophone from ACN. The new model is the Iris 3000, and sales reps from ACN will watch both presentations to decide on the best one. The winning project manager will receive $20,000 for his or her charity.

Dennis Rodman Gets in Clint Black's Face

The teams have to decide when they want to present, and both choose the second slot. Going second means they will have a distinct advantage. Annie Duke and Clint Black represent their teams in the negotiations, and since they cannot agree they decide to flip a coin. The men's team wins the coin toss and the chance to present second.

Immediately following the coin toss, Dennis Rodman gets in Clint Black's face and starts yelling. It is clear he is angry at Clint and the teams both feel he could easily take a punch at him. Clint doesn't back down, and in the end Dennis goes off to sit by himself after his outburst.

Brian McKnight Leads KOTU

The men, who have lost the first three weeks worth of challenges, pick Brian McKnight to lead Team KOTU. Brian decides early on that Dennis Rodman, who has been a distraction in the previous tasks, will be kept out of this challenge as much as possible.

The guys decide to have Brian McKnight perform during the event. McKnight likes the idea, although Clint Black feels left out because he has decades of performing also. Meanwhile Jesse James comes up with the idea of using a soldier as part of the video. The team travels to West Point (about 50 miles away) to have a soldier pretend to call home using the video phone.

Claudia Jordan Leads Team Athena

The women choose Deal or No Deal model Claudia Jordan as their project manager. She immediately clashes with Melissa Rivers, even going so far as to make fun of her face and the idea of plastic surgery. Melissa is in charge of the dance number and choreographing the stage show, and seems to really pull together the show.

Melissa's mother Joan Rivers was not at the brainstorming session. She had a charity event to perform at and would not be able to take part in the presentation. The team decides that she would be a valuable part of the presentation and they need her to emcee the event. They arrange for a private jet to get her back home, and she arrives in the wee hours of the morning.

Athena's Chaotic Preparation

During the run-through for Athena's presentation, chaos reigns supreme. The actors don't seem to know what they are doing and feedback from the microphones prevents them from practicing as much as they'd like. Claudia is frustrated that she has to micromanage Khloe Kardashian and that Melissa Rivers is taking over the stage production.

Athena is the first to present. Joan Rivers introduces the first video vignette, which consists of a husband calling home to his family while on business. A second vignette has Brande getting a call to meet her boyfriend, who then proposes on-stage.

The Men Win Their First Challenge

Team KOTU presents second. The military video vignette goes over very well with the crowd. Then Brian McKnight wows the crowd with a mini stage show. The men go on to receive 85% of the votes for best presentation. They easily win the challenge.

In the boardroom, it is obvious that Claudia is on a personal attack with Melissa. She brings Melissa and Khloe into the boardroom with her. Donald Trump tells Khloe that he does not like people who fail to take initiative. But in the end, Claudia's poor project management skills did her in. She is the first woman fired.

Next week: The celebrity teams run a high-end hotel.

I loved the nbc video phone presentation from the men's team.
No touchy feely stuff, get right down to business, show the nbc video phone in action. Then Brian does a mini concert after the video phone presentation. It was awesome, now.. why didn't the girls do that?
I wanted to hear T sing too. To bad they didn't show the nbc video phone more though, I wanted to see more of the features shown on NBC.

Claudia definitely needed to go, she wasn't up to the task and blamed everyone for her inability to produce a good show for the NBC video phone.

Definitely watching the rest of the season just to see Joan rivers gets fired.
