Sixteen celebrities from the worlds of sports and entertainment have come to fight for money for their charities, along with the title of "Celebrity Apprentice."

Sixteen new celebrities join Donald Trump in brining the second season of The Celebrity Apprentice to NBC. Participants from the sports world include Poker Champion Annie Duke, NBA Star Dennis Rodman, Heisman Trophy Winner Hershel Walker, Golf Champion Natalie Gulbis, and Figure Skating Champion Scott Hamilton.

Participants from the entertainment world include Comedian Andrew Dice Clay, R&B Singer Brian McKnight, Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick, Country Music Star Clint Black, Deal or No Deal Model Claudia Jordan, TV Star Jesse James, Comedienne Joan Rivers, Reality TV Star Khloe Kardashian, TV Host Melissa Rivers, Comedian Tom Green, and R&B Singer Tionne Watkins.

Teams Choose Leaders and Names

As the first episode begins, Donald Trump greets the new players at the site of the USS Intrepid. The location is a nod to last season's winner, Piers Morgan, who raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for his charity, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Teams are divided into male and female contestants. The groups are charged with choosing a team leader and coming up with a name for their team. For the women, Joan Rivers volunteers to be leader, and urges her team not to waste too much time on choosing a name. After a short discussion the name Athena is chosen.

The men kick around several choices before settling on the name KOTU, which stands for "Kings of the Universe." Scott Hamilton suggests that Hershel Walker lead the team, and he happily agrees.

Cupcakes for Charity

The first challenge is finally announced. They will work with chefs from the Institute for Culinary Education to create, bake, and sell cupcakes. The team that sells the most cupcakes for the most amount of money will win.

On KOTU, Tom Green encourages his teammates to contact their celebrity friends in an effort to raise money. Andrew Dice Clay chooses not to participate in the baking process, while Jesse James and Brian McKnight work on the design of the truck. After the cupcakes have been baked it is determined that someone forgot to add sugar to the mix. The cupcakes taste horrible.

$15,000 Taste Test

Donald Trump calls each team to inform them that an impromptu taste test will take place, with the winner receiving an additional $15,000 in winnings. The women easily won the taste test.

Team Athena also brought in $61,267 while KOTU raised $49,449. Even without the taste test victory, the women's team easily won the challenge. Overall they raised $126,000 which will be given to Joan Rivers' charity, God's Love We Deliver.

The First Celebrity is Fired

In the boardroom, Project Manager Hershel Walker brings Dennis Rodman and Andrew Dice Clay back to face Mr. Trump. Dice hints that he might like to quit, and Trump fires him instead.

Next week: The teams must create an original comic book character.

if donald didn't throw off andrew dice clay i might not have been able to stomach the show for the entire series. The remaining contestants provide more than enough diversity and interest to carry the show but AD Clay took from the show, otherwise none as obnoxious. Great show, I will be tuned in.

I do not know how a person like Joan Rivers can have any fans because she is nasty, cruel and vendictive. She is like a two year old throughing a tantrum her if she is not the centre of attention. No one is allowed to disagree with her her daughter. She is the one making her daughter look like an imbisle because at that old age, she still cannot fend for herself. She spoils she show and takes all the class that Donald Trumph put into it and makes it a bad Jerry Springer show, cheap and tastless, not worth watching anymore. Sorry Mr Trumph but I enjoyed your show, but not anynore with that. Time is to valuable to waste.

First of all, I am not a big reality t.v. kind of guy and this was my first Celebrity Apprentice I have had the pleasure of watching.
Truthfully, after tonight's episode, I was completely fllored that Joan Rivers beat out Jesse James and Brande Roderick!!!!
If you have ever watched "Monster Garage" and witnessed the creativeness in Jesse James and the projects they accomplish, you would know he is a quiet, intellegent man.
Brande proved that she is more then a beautiful lady and definitely not a "dumb blonde". by any means!
Joan Rivers! Let's get serious! Did her check clear first? She is nothing compared to the two fired! Pierce is a pompous jerk and was intimitated by James and Roderick-period!
Annie deserves to be there, as the other two that were fired do too-way before Joan Rivers!!
Donald- are you losing your mind?

I have watched this show and am appalled at the crude and nasty attitude of Joan Rivers. I liked her many years ago, but today she is vindictive, rude, crude, a spoiled brat that has zero class in dealing with other people. She should have been banned from the show. Keeping her did not show class but showed nothing more than watching one of the other "ridiculous" reality shows. I believe Mr. Trump should be looking at people's attitudes a lot better. Joan Rivers is an embarrassment!!!!

Gee, was it really a surprise that Joan River won? Donald Trump was kissing up to her the whole time.. I guess ths is the caliber people who run major business. Joan Rivers with her big mouth, obnoxious behavior, namecalling ( is that profesional too?) and of course little baby Melissa with spewing vulgarity, but I guess this is what Donald Trump wants! Was this final show fair? Of course not,, but we knew that!Annie should havae won!

I used to like Joan, but she and Melissa LIED about the designer. She DID hire someone else over him and Donald never called them out on that. They accused Annie Duke of lying and I think that's despicable. I will never watch Joan or Melissa again on or off the red carpet. They were terrible.
