Joan Rivers is hired as the Celebrity Apprentice.
As Annie Duke and Joan Rivers prepare to complete their tasks, previous Celebrity Apprentice contestants come in to help. Annie is allowed to choose first, and takes Brande Roderick. Joan, in a surprise move, picks Hershel Walker. Annie chooses Dennis Rodman next, then Tom Green. Joan chooses Clint Black, who she said in an earlier episode that she hated and would never speak to again, and finally, her daughter Melissa. Final Task Brings Back Previous ContestantsThe teams are tasked with doing a charity auction, creating a Celebrity Apprentice Kodak picture frame, and selling tickets to a Cirque du Soleil show. If there was any doubt about Dennis’ ability to work hard for this task, it is answered when he instantly brings in $20,000 cash from his contacts. Clint, on the other hand, made the announcement that he’s tapped out and cannot raise any money. Joan Rivers Causes the Event Planner to QuitJoan is repeatedly shooting down the ideas of the event planner, and he eventually gets so upset that he quits and refuses to work with anyone from the Celebrity Apprentice. Annie finds out this means her team would not have an event planner because of Joan’s actions. Annie then has to scramble after five o’clock on Friday to try and find an event planner. Celebrity ImpersonatorsSince Joan’s team is having a hard time getting celebrities to attend, Hershel comes up with the idea of using celebrity impersonators to come to the event. The atmosphere in Joan’s event is silly and fun, and in sharp contrast to Annie’s which is classy and down-to-earth. After the event, the teams went over to Wintuk to enjoy the show. Trump Asks What Happened With the Event PlannerIn the boardroom, Trump asks Melissa why she used the words “whores” and “bitches” when it came to Annie and Brande. She says she was upset and doesn’t regret her behavior. Trump asks Annie what happened with the decorator and when Annie tells him what happened Joan denies it and talks over Annie. She calls Annie more names, and Trump fails to address Joan obviously lies. Joan Rivers Wins the Celebrity ApprenticeIn the end, Joan’s team raised $150,830, while Annie’s raised $465,725. Annie did a great job of charity integration that wasn’t seen from Joan’s side of table. However, Kodak felt Joan did a better job of branding, and the overall event experience was won by Joan’s team. Piers Morgan and Trace Adkins, from last year’s Celebrity Apprentice, are introduced. They talk about the lasting effects of being on Celebrity Apprentice for their charities. Trump asks Trace Adkins who he would hire and he says Joan. Piers says Joan won three of the five criteria, and even though he likes Annie he says Joan should win. Trump tells Joan he admires her and announces that she is the Celebrity Apprentice.
